Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and foil sheets pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" of Old Olive Foil from Noble Peacock Foil Sheets
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3" of Blueberry Bushel Foil from Noble Peacock Foil Sheets
Put tiny pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the more solid areas of the back of the front flap of a card from the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin. Make sure you get the Tear & Tape in all 4 corners and near the center.
Adhere the large rectangle of Old Olive foil to the back side of the front of the laser-cut card.
Mount the stained glass circle image from the Painted Glass Set on Block D. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad and stamp it in the center of the vanilla strip near one end.
Lay the stamped stained glass circle image on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Shimmer Black Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the entire image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and more opaque black).
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the heat embossed stained glass circle image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use the Markers to color in the stained glass circle image.
Use some strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the colored stained glass circle punch out to the front of the card so it just overlaps the border on the left side and is about 1" from the bottom.
Pick out the detailed, large feather die from the Detailed Peacock Dies. Put the die on top of the Blueberry Bushel Foil Sheet rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Make sure the foil side of the foil sheet is face up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the foil feather cut out to the front of the card so the bottom of the feather overlaps the bottom right side of the stained glass circle punch out and the rest of the feather is just to the right of center.
Mount the "A Reason To Celebrate" sentiment from the Painted Glass Set on Block C. Ink up ONLY the word "Celebrate" using the brush tip on the Blueberry Bushel Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it in the center of the Pretty Peacock strip.
Pick out the long stitched label die with cut out ends from the Stitched Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the sentiment label cut out to adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom right side of the stained glass circle punch out and barely overlaps the border on the right edge.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a medium Pretty Peacock rhinestone from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the circle in the center of the laser-cut card front.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small Old Olive rhinestone from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the stained glass circle punch out.
Cut a 4" piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle so it is in the angle where the stained glass circle punch out and sentiment cut out meet along the bottom edges.
