Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Purple Posy Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Purple Posy Cardstock
Mount the large bunch of flowers image from the Ornate Style Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the large white piece. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges.
Pick out the stitched, scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies that cuts out a scalloped rectangle that is 2-1/2" x 3-5/8". Put it on top of the stamped white cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered. Run through the tool. Keep both pieces!
Adhere the large piece of stamped white cardstock with the scalloped rectangle cut out of the center to the front of the Purple Posy card.
Pick out the stitched, scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies that cuts out a scalloped rectangle that is 2-15/16" x 4-1/8". Put it on top of the Basic Black cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Adhere the scalloped rectangle cut out of the stamped white piece to the center of the black scalloped rectangle.
WITHOUT ADHERING, figure out which long edge of the matted scalloped rectangle is the top edge by matching it to the piece already adhered to the card front.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Mint Macaron 1/4" Textile Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom edge of the matted, scalloped rectangles so the bottom of the ribbon is about 3/4" from the bottom edge. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Basic Black scalloped rectangle. Adhere the matted rectangles to the front of the card so it is centered over the scalloped rectangle cut out of the stamped white layer.
Mount the single daisy on a stem image from the Ornate Style Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the stitched, scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies that cuts out a scalloped rectangle that is 1-5/8" x 2-3/4". Put it on top of the stamped daisy image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the daisy is centered. Run through the tool.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the designer paper that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the daisy rectangle on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Dark and Light Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the leaf, stem, and center of the daisy.
Use the Dark and Light Purple Posy Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the daisy.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess color.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored daisy rectangle to the front of the card so it overlaps the left side of the matted, scalloped, white rectangle.
Mount the "Thanks" sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Purple Posy rectangle but slightly left of center.
Mount one of the shorter, script sentiments from the Ornate Thanks Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the Purple Posy rectangle just below the previously stamped "thanks" so the right edge sticks out to the right side of the "thanks" by about 1/4".
Once again, pick out the stitched, scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies that cuts out a scalloped rectangle that is 1-5/8" x 2-3/4". Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiments are centered side to side at the bottom of the rectangle. Run through the tool.
Put the scalloped rectangle die back on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is still centered side to side and the top edge of the die is just above the top edge of the sentiment. Line the bumps of the die up with the bumps already cut into the cardstock. Run through the tool.
Use SNAIL and Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon and overlaps the bottom of the stem of the daisy.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Mint Macaron 1/4" Textile Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card on the right side of the sentiment cut out. Tie the ribbon in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a medium gem from a sheet of Clear Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the daisy.
