I
learned about this bag from The Posh Paper Lady's YouTube video from 9/22/2019.
It can hold several cards and envelopes.
Project Recipe
Cut DSP to 12" X 10" (and 12" X 2").
Handles: Score the 12" X 2" piece 1/4" from either side. Cut in 1/2 so you have 2 pieces 12" X 1". (I find it easier to score first, then cut in 1/2, so I am working with the wider piece when scoring.)
Fold on the 1/4" score line and adhere down using the liquid glue. Fold in the other side and adhere that down as well. Round the 12" piece on the edge of the table to add a curve to the handle.
Repeat with the other 12" X 1" piece to form the second handle.
Score the 12" X 10" along the 12" side at:
1", 4 3/4", 7 1/4" and 11".
Score on the 10" side 2 1/2" from each end (which would be at 2 1/2" and 7 1/2").
Remove 2 corners from this piece. They will be 2 1/2" X 1". I have shaded them in pink on the diagram.
On the center side panels, cut slits from the side, then trim about half the panel off. What you trim off is shaded in pink on the diagram.
Cut slits on the end of the piece. See diagram.
Adhere in order on the diagram. The A flaps are the inside front and back of the bag.
When you adhere the B and C flaps, adhere the trimmed flap on the outside of the larger piece. (The smaller flap, the one you trimmed, will be sandwiched between the larger sides when you are finished.)
Adhere D and E, leaving the flaps up. Finally, adhere flaps F and G inside the bag.
Adhere the handles on either side of the bag with the liquid adhesive.
Insert a 5" X 2 1/2" piece of thick Whisper White card stock inside the base of the bag to add stability.
Decorate if desired.
