U se dsp or colored cardstock to make this holder for a set of cards. Finished size is 4 1/2” x 6” with the depth of 1”. Holds 4-6 cards and envelopes.
Project Recipe
Cut and score paper as follows:
~Cut DSP to 9" x 12" (use a random pattern or solid color). Score with long side up on trimmer at 6" and 7". Rotate 1/4 turn counterclockwise so short side is up. Score 2 1/4" in on both long sides. See dotted black lines on pattern.
~Cut Night of Navy cardstock to 4 1/2" x 5". With long side up score at 2" and 3". Also need piece 2" x 4" for large tag to be cut with die.
~Cut Basic white to 1 3/4" x 3" for smaller attached tag.
~Using a pencil make a dot on the points where the horizontal and vertical score lines meet. Then also dot where those 6" and 7" score lines go to edge.See the black dots on instructions.
~Make another set of dots 2 1/4" away from those dots on the edges. Repeat on both sides. See red dots on instructions.
~Score diagonally as shown in guide as red dotted line.
~Fold and burnish all scores on DSP piece of paper. With side that will show facing down, fold all folds inward (valley fold) except for the four red lines. These are folded back to make mountain folds.
~With project upside down, add tear n tape as shown on pattern with gray boxes.
~Add tear n tape to other side as shown on pattern as the green boxes.
~Now prepare the 4 1/2" x 5" night of navy cardstock by embossing it with embossing folder.
~Burnish on score lines carefully so design doesnt flattened.
~If desired you can round the corners on one end. This is the closure flap.
~Fold long edges inward on the larger dsp piece. Make sure this 4 1/2" x 5" piece will fit into long edge without buckling. If it's too tight, cut off a sliver along a long edge of the flap cardstock. Put adhesive on back of the end opposite of the rounded corners flap. If you haven't rounded the corners, either end is fine. Slide this portion into the longer end of dsp. Fold in the sides and glue into place using tear n tape you put on earlier. Burnish well.
~On basic white piece, cut out the smaller of the two tags.
~On small piece of night of navy, diecut the larger of the two tag dies.
~Stamp sentiment and branch in night of navy ink on basic white tag.
~Use metallic ribbon to tie the two tags together. Put tear n tape onto back of blue tag, just the top, and adhere it to the flap.
~Add embellishments as desired.
