his card uses the watercolour wash technique on the background.
Real Red and Pool Party are a great combination for Christmas when you don't want to stick with the more traditional colours.
This card also uses a two-step stamp set to get the different colours in the leaves.
Project Recipe
Before opening the Pool Party ink pad squeeze the lid into the ink pad. When you open it there should be ink on the top of the ink container.
Squeeze the aqua pen until water comes to the tip of the brush. Dip the brush into the ink and paint it across your Shimmer Cardstock. Keep dipping the brush into the ink and repeating until you get the desired look. You will repeat steps 1 and 2 using the Island Indigo ink. Just keep in mind this colour is darker and will not need as much ink!
You can speed up the drying time of the cardstock by using a hair dryer or heat gun. This will help straighten out your cardstock as well.
Stamp "Happy Wonderful Christmas" in Real Red at the bottom of the watercoloured cardstock.
You can now layer this piece onto the Real Red cardstock and then onto the Pool Party card base.
Mark an arrow pointing up at the top of your Very Vanilla Cardstock. This will be a big help when you are aligning your stamps and dies!
You will notice there are arrows on your wreath stamps and dies. This helps to keep everything aligned.
place the middle die of the wreath in the middle of the cardstock and cut it out. Make sure both your arrows are going in the same direction!
Using the wreath stamp with the most leaves, stamp onto the Very Vanilla cardstock in Pool Party Ink. You should be able to line up your center leaves to the cut out in the center of the cardstock.
use the Island Indigo ink to stamp the random set of leaves. These should line up perfectly with some of the other leaves already stamped in pool party!
Cut out the rest of the wreath using the outside of the wreath die.
use a small amount of mono glue on the "N" and "L" of Noel and attach to the center of the wreath.
Add Stampin' Dimensionals around the center of the wreath and attach the piece of Island Indigo cardstock.
Use more dimensionals around the wreath and adhere to the center of the card
