F un collage card for a kid's birthday using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Tangerine Tango Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Chocolate Chip Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" square from Chocolate Chip Cardstock
- 2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3 pieces each 3" square from Window Sheets
Pick out the 3 circle framelits from the Layering Circles Framelits that cut out a 1-7/8" circle, a 1-5/8" circle, and a 1-1/16" circle. One at a time, place a Window Sheet square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place one of the circle framelits on top in the center. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. When you are done, you should have three squares of Window Sheets with a different size of circle cut out of the center of each. These are your stencils for sponging the circles on the cardstock.
Tip: If you don't have Window Sheets, you can cut the circles from squares of cardstock instead. I like to use the Window Sheets though because they are sturdier, are easy to clean and use again, and you can easily see exactly where you are sponging since they are clear.
Tip: When done using the circle stencils, rinse them clean in running water and allow them to air dry. You can use these stencils again and again on future projects.
Place the large vanilla rectangle on a sheet of Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Tangerine Tango Ink Pad to get it inky. Use the Window Sheet stencil with the 1-7/8" circle cut out of the center to stencil some Tangerine Tango circles randomly onto the vanilla cardstock by rubbing the inky dauber onto the cardstock through the stencil. Get more ink on the dauber as needed. Keep adding ink until you have the color saturation you want. Let some of the circles go off the edge of the cardstock.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.

Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Always Artichoke Ink Pad to get it inky. Use the Window Sheet stencil with the 1-5/8" circle cut out of the center to stencil some Always Artichoke circles randomly onto the vanilla cardstock by rubbing the inky dauber onto the cardstock through the stencil. Get more ink on the dauber as needed. Keep adding ink until you have the color saturation you want. Let some of the circles go off the edge of the cardstock and let some of them overlap the previously stenciled circles.

As you are ready to stamp on cardstock pieces using the No Bones about It Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Be sure to put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the various solid dinosaur images on Blocks D or H. Ink them up with the Tangerine Tango, Always Artichoke, and Chocolate Chip Ink Pads and stamp them onto the circle stenciled vanilla layer. Let them go off the edges of the cardstock at times and let them overlap the stenciled circles.
Tip: I like to place the stamps on the cardstock before inking them up and stamping them. This way I can get an idea of where I want to stamp each image and which color I want to use for each image. When you are ready to stamp, simply press the correct block to the stamp to mount it, ink it up, and stamp it in place.
Mount the two different leaf images one at a time on Block A. Ink them up with the Always Artichoke Ink Pad and stamp them randomly onto the vanilla layer. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and rotate the stamp. Let some of the leaves go off the edges and let some of them overlap the stenciled circles.
Mount the line of dinosaur footprints image on Block G. Ink it up with the Chocolate Chip Ink Pad and stamp it randomly onto the vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and rotate the stamp. Let some of the footprints go off the edges and let some of them overlap the stenciled circles.
If desired, mount the grouping of big dots image on Block B. Ink it up with one of the ink pads and stamp it onto the backs of some of the dinosaurs.
Adhere the stenciled and stamped vanilla rectangle to the Chocolate Chip rectangle and then to the front of the Tangerine Tango card.
Mount the "Have a dino-rrific birthday!" sentiment on Block B. Ink it up with the Tangerine Tango Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 1-3/8" circle. Place the sentiment square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.

Adhere the sentiment circle to the center of the Chocolate Chip circle.
Uncurl a Boxwood Wreaths Embellishment and cut it into three pieces. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the wreath pieces to the back of the matted circles so the wreath pieces will stick out on the upper left side of the circle when it is turned over.
Add more Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the matted circles as needed. You might want to use a double layer of dimensionals where it is only dimensionals so it will be even with the areas where it is dimensionals and wreath pieces.
Remove the protective backings from the dimensionals and adhere the matted circles and wreath pieces to the center of the card front.
Cut a 4" piece of Gold 1/4" Natural Trim.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the lower right side of the matted sentiment circles at a slight angle.
Carefully peel up 3 different sized Always Artichoke circles from a sheet of Regals Enamel Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front.
Carefully peel up 2 different sized Tangerine Tango circles from a sheet of Brights Enamel Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front.
