F ill this egg nest with any kind of goody!
Project Recipe
Cut two 4 5/8" length Stitched Nested dies in Pineapple Punch.
Cut two 4 1/8" length Stitched Nested dies Dinoroar DSP page that has the small eggs on the Pretty Peacock background.
Adhere the Dinoroar DSP nested pieces onto the Pineapple Punch nested pieces.
Cut one 2 1/2" oval die in Whisper White, and with a black marker make a partial horizontal zig zag line as a crack in the egg. Cut along the line as the opening for the chick.
On another scrap of Whisper White, stamp the chick from Welcome Easter Stamp Set. Outline and color the chick using Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody Blends. Fussy cut the chick out.
Adhere the chick through the crack slit of the egg prior to adhering the egg to Dinoroar DSP.
Cut one 3/8" x 2 3/4" Pineapple Punch strip of cardstock.
Cut one 5/8" x 3 1/8" Pretty In Peacock strip of cardstock. Cut a chevron into each end.
Stamp the sentiment, "Have a wonderful Easter!" onto the cardstock.
Adhere the sentiment piece onto the Pretty in Peacock strip.
Using Dimensionals, adhere the layered sentiment onto the DSP and over the egg bottom half.
Cut one 2" x 8 1/2" strip and score against the short end at 1/2" and 1 1/2".
Score against the long side at 1 3/8", 2 3/4", 5 3/4", and 7 1/8".
Crease all score lines using the bone folder.
Snip at the score lines of the 1/2" sides so that the strip folds and bends to conform to the 4 5/8" hexagonal nested die.
Using Liquid Adhesive, bend and adhere the 1/2" tabs to the inside of the nested Pineapple Punch pieces, forming a hexagonal basket.
BASKET HANDLE
Cut a 1" x 8 1/2" strip in Pretty in Peacock.
Cut a 3/4" x 6" strip in Pineapple Punch. Cut a chevron into both ends.
Adhere the Pineapple Punch strip onto the Pretty in Peacock strip.
Adhere the basket handle onto the two opposite ends. For strength and reinforcement, use two Metallic Brads on each side.
Wrap Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon around the handle and finish off with a bow.
