S imple, pretty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Blushing Bride Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Needle & Thread Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large embroidered flower image from the Needle & Thread Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly onto the white rectangle across the bottom and in the upper right corner. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Rotate the stamp every so often to get a different orientation. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock.
Tip: If your ink pad is really juicy, you might get a better image if you use a Sponge Dauber to pick up ink from the pad and then pounce it onto the stamp to ink it up.
Mount the small embroidered flower image from the Needle & Thread Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly onto the white rectangle across the bottom and in the upper right corner. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Rotate the stamp every so often to get a different orientation. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock and let them barely touch the larger, previously stamped flowers.
Tip: If your ink pad is really juicy, you might get a better image if you use a Sponge Dauber to pick up ink from the pad and then pounce it onto the stamp to ink it up.
Mount the small leaf stem image from the Needle & Thread Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly onto the white rectangle across the bottom and in the upper right corner. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Rotate the stamp every so often to get a different orientation. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock and let the ends of the stems appear to be coming out from behind the previously stamped flowers.
Mount the "people like you..." sentiment from the Needle & Thread Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it on one side of the strip of Blushing Bride Cardstock.
Unlock the Pretty Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Mount the large set of leaves divided into two bunches image from the Needle & Thread Set on Block D. Carefully ink up only the larger bunch of leaves by pressing it carefully to the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp the larger bunch of leaves on the left side of the stamped white rectangle about 1/2" from the top edge and about 3/8" in from the left edge. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Carefully ink up only the smaller bunch of leaves by pressing it carefully to the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp the smaller bunch of leaves on the left side of the stamped white rectangle about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge and about 2-1/8" in from the right edge.
Tip: You can lay the punched out sentiment onto the stamped white rectangle to give you an idea of where to stamp the second set of leaves.
Squeeze the lid of the Old Olive Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Pick up some ink from the lid using the Blender Pen. Color in the leaves on the previously stamped leaf stem images. Get more ink on the Blender Pen as needed.
Tip: Stroke the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the cardstock could start to pill and tear. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Blender Pen until no more color is coming off.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the Flirty Flamingo rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of the Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock layers so it goes across the center of the area where the sentiment punch out will be. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the Flirty Flamingo rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Blushing Bride card.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the card front so it is centered across the ribbon and between the two stamped bunches of stems.
Cut a 12" piece of Old Olive Linen Thread.
Slide one end of the linen thread under the ribbon on the card front on the right side of the sentiment punch out. Tie it in place using a small bow . Trim the ends.
