Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Berry Burst Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of closely packed multi-colored embroidery circle flowers design from Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4" from Berry Burst Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4" from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 2" square of Whisper White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper to the large Balmy Blue rectangle and then to the front of the Berry Burst card.
Pick out the large, solid framelit with the needlepoint design on it from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits. Place the Balmy Blue strip on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the needlepoint design framelit on top on one side. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: This framelit does NOT cut. It just dry embosses a needlepoint design onto cardstock.
Place the needlepoint design framelit on the other half of the Balmy Blue strip on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Balmy Blue strip to the center of the card front.
Cut a 5-1/4" piece of Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on each end.
Lay the ribbon horizontally across the center of the dry embossed Balmy Blue strip on the card front. Use a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the ribbon in place. Leave the protective backing on the Tear & Tape strip.
As you are ready to stamp using the Needle & Thread Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "people like you..." sentiment from the Needle & Thread Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it on one side of the strip of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock making sure to leave room to punch out the sentiment.
Pick out the large, open, curvy label framelit from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits. Place the sentiment stamped Flirty Flamingo strip on the Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the curvy label framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: This framelit does NOT cut. It just dry embosses a needlepoint design onto cardstock.
Unlock the Pretty Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the dry embossed sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide the strip of Berry Burst Cardstock into the Pretty Label Punch and punch.
Use Paper Snips to cut the Berry Burst punch out in half horizontally.
Adhere the halves of the Berry Burst punch out to the back of the Flirty Flamingo sentiment punch out so just a bit of Berry Burst shows on the top and bottom.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon.
Mount the set of three small embroidered flowers image from the Needle & Thread Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it onto the white square.
Tip: If your ink pad is really juicy, you might get a better image if you use a Sponge Dauber to pick up ink from the pad and then pounce it onto the stamp to ink it up.
Pick out the set of three small flowers framelit from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits. Place the stamped flowers square on the Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the set of three small flowers framelit on top so the flowers are centered in the cutting areas. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Using SNAIL and/or Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the flowers to the card front so they overlap or slide under the upper left and lower right sides of the matted sentiment punch out. Let the two flowers on the lower right overlap each other a bit as well.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three small rhinestones from a sheet of Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the flowers.
