S imple, pretty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Mount the Birch background stamp on Block F. Place the background stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface. Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Crumb Cake Ink Pad all over it. Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla rectangle on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Tip: I just clean my background stamps by running them under water until the water runs clear. Then, I let them air dry.
Adhere the stamped Very Vanilla rectangle to the front of the Garden Green card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Christmas To All Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "May the Beauty of the Season..." sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the top of the 3" x 4-1/4" Very Vanilla rectangle about 1/4" from the top.
Mount the deer image from the Nature's Beauty Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the 3" x 4-1/4" stamped vanilla rectangle so the deer is just under the sentiment (the ears may overlap a tiny amount).
Before the ink has time to dry thoroughly, use the Blender Pen to pull the ink towards the center of the stamped deer image coloring the entire deer image a light brown. If the ears did overlap the green sentiment, be careful not to pull the green ink.
Adhere the stamped and colored vanilla rectangle to the Garden Green rectangle.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Garden Green 3/8" Double-Stitched Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom right corner of the matted vanilla rectangle. Secure in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the green rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the card in the center.
Cut another 3-1/2" piece of Garden Green 3/8" Double-Stitched Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
