P retty Easter card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Rococo Rose Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Rococo Rose Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Lightly spritz the Crumb Cake rectangle with water and insert into the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Mount the bunny image from the Nature's Beauty Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the Whisper White rectangle.
Pick out the 3-3/8" long die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. Put the die on top of the stamped white rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the bunny is centered top to bottom on the left side. Run through the tool.
Tip: You may have to press fairly hard along the edges of the die to pop the cardstock loose.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the designer paper that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the bunny label cut out on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Dark and Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the bunny only. Be sure to leave his tail white.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess color.
If the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Adhere the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle to the front of the Rococo Rose card.
Cut a 4-3/4" long piece of Rococo Rose 1/2" Gathered Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on each end.
Adhere the piece of ribbon to the front of the card so the bottom of the ribbon is about 1-3/8" from the bottom of the card and the left tip almost touches the left edge of the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle.
Adhere the colored bunny label cut out to the front of the card so it barely overlaps the top of the ribbon on the left side. The left point of the label should be about 5/8" from the left edge of the card.
Mount the "Easter Blessings" sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of Rococo Rose, but leave room to punch it out.
Unlock the Classic Label Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the right side of the bunny label cut out just to the right of the bunny and just above the stitching on the bottom of the cut out.
As you are ready to stamp using the Thoughtful Blooms Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, solid flower image with the open dot in the center from the Thoughtful Blooms Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the long white strip.
Unlock the Small Bloom Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped flower into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the flower punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left corner of the bunny label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Sahara Sand sequin from a sheet of Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the punched out flower.
