I love doing this beautiful background technique, which is inspired by fellow demonstrator Sherrill Graff!
Project Recipe
Put 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Shimmery White cardstock under running water, then place on paper towels. Using an Aqua Painter, dip into ink refills (Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay, and Daffodil Delight), and put on wet paper. Spritz with a Stampin' Spritzer to blend inks if necessary. Allow to dry (overnight is best). Try to eliminate puddles before letting it dry.
Use Stamparatus, and stamp left side of detailed mountain stamp (about 3-1/4") onto right side of Shimmery White piece with Gray Granite. Leave stamp on Stamparatus until ready to stamp snow on mountain tops.
Stamp water image of detailed trees stamp with Pacific Point (Stampin’ Write Marker or ink pad), and use Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker (or ink pad) on trees. Huff on stamp, and stamp below mountains. Use Blender Pen to blend Pacific Point colour through water part of stamp.
Stamp left, right, and lower edges with double and single larger detailed trees using Mossy Meadow--also stamp-off images, to represent trees "in the distance".
Using detailed mountain stamp (still attached to Stamparatus), stamp with VersaMark and line up over previous mountain image. Sprinkle (use a spoon) White Embossing Powder only over mountain tops, where snow would be. Use a fine brush to remove excess powder, or powder that is over Mossy Meadow tree images. Heat set with Heat Tool.
Stamp bird image with Gray Granite, and sentiment with Memento ink.
Adhere stamped image to 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" black cardstock.
Wrap 33" linen thread twice around black cardstock, and tie with a bow.
Adhere to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Bermuda Bay card base, scored at 4-1/4".
Adhere a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock on the inside of the card.
