Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Glimmer Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of one of the blue frosted plants designs from the Feels Like Frost 6x6" Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the design is horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 1" x 2" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 1" x 2-3/4" from Sparkle Glimmer Paper
- 1-1/4" square from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
Adhere the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper rectangle to the front of the Balmy Blue card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Christmas To All Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the block letter, small "to you" sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Balmy Blue strip.
Pick out the small label framelit from the Merry Christmas Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the "to you" sentiment cut out to the front of the card leaving room for the "thanks" cut out to be adhered above it so the "thanks" cut out sticks out to the left side.
Pick out the "thanks" die from the Well Written Dies. Put it on top of the Sparkle Glimmer Paper rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Place the "thanks" cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Pretty Peacock Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, daub it onto the "thanks" cut out. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Tip: Daub by pressing the inky Dauber straight up and down onto the cut out. If you rub it back and forth, the glitter in the Glimmer Paper will tear up your Sponge Dauber.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the "thanks" cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the top of the "to you" cut out and sticks out to the left side.
Pick out the bird die from the Well Written Dies. Put it on top of the Pretty Peacock square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the bird cut out to the front of the card so the bird appears to be sitting on the beginning or end of the "thanks" cut out.
Pick out a tiny, silver sequin from the Snowflake Sequins using the putty tip of the Take Your Pick tool. Use a small dot of Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the sequin over the eye hole on the bird cut out.
Pick out an assortment of 4 or 5 more sequins from the Snowflake Sequins using the putty tip of the Take Your Pick tool. Use small dots of Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the sequins randomly to the front of the card. The larger iridescent sequins may need to be adhered using a squished Mini Glue Dot.
