E legant Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Galvanized Metallic Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Mint Macaron Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 4" square from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Galvanized Metallic Paper
Mount the Sheet Music background stamp on Block F. Place the stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface . Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Mint Macaron Ink Pad all over it. Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the large Soft Sea Foam rectangle on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Tip: I just clean my background stamps by running them under water until the water runs clear. Then, I let them air dry.
Place the stamped Soft Sea Foam rectangle on some Grid Paper on your work surface. Pick out the large medallion mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Place it over the cardstock so the right edge of the medallion pattern is about 1/4" in from the right edge of the cardstock. and the bottom of the medallion pattern is about 3/4" from the bottom edge of the cardstock.
Tip: If desired, use pieces of washi tape to hold the cardstock and mask in place. Just make sure they don't cover anywhere that you want to have the pattern.
Roll a Sponge Brayer across the open Mint Macaron Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, roll the inky brayer over the mask on top of the cardstock. Get more ink on the brayer as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Brayers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Tip: I also clean the masks by running them under water until no more color is coming off and then letting them air dry.
Adhere the stamped and stenciled Soft Sea Foam cardstock to the front of the Mint Macaron card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Christmas To All Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large script "Christmas" sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Soft Sea Foam square.
Mount the large script "Merry" sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it just over the word "Christmas" already stamped on the Soft Sea Foam square so it is centered over the word "Christmas."
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a circle that is 2-7/8" diameter. Place the stamped sentiment square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so the sentiment is centered in the circle side to side and closer to the top of the circle. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the double loop scribble image from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the open space on the circle cut out under the word "Christmas." WITHOUT re-inking, move the image over and down a tiny amount and stamp again.
Pick out the scalloped Circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 3-1/16" diameter. Place the Mint Macaron square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment circle cut out to the scalloped circle cut out.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one end of the strip of Galvanized Metallic Paper into the punch as far as it will go. Punch. Repeat with the other end of the Galvanized Metallic Paper.
Use Paper Snips to cut the punched banner strip in half vertically.
Adhere one half of the punched banner strip to the back of the matted sentiment circle so the notch is just past the edge of the circle. Adhere the other half on the other side of the matted sentiment circle so it lines up with the first half and the notch is just past the edge of the circle.
Adhere the matted sentiment circle with banner pieces attached to the bottom of the card front at a slight angle. Make sure the ends of the banners don't stick over the edges of the card.
Carefully peel up a medium gem from a sheet of Clear Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the stenciled medallion image.
