P retty Valentine card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2" x 5" of tiny white and pink hearts on light pink background pattern from All My Love Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 4-1/4" from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock
- 1-5/8" x 4-1/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Mount the flat-line bottom row of flowers image from the Meant To Be Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad and stamp it randomly all over the Crumb Cake rectangle. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock (so be sure you have Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink). Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Adhere the stamped Crumb Cake rectangle to the front of the Flirty Flamingo card.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide the bottom end of the strip of All My Love Designer Series Paper into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Tip: Make sure you are punching the end of the strip that will leave your hearts right side up!
Adhere the punched strip of designer paper to the left side of the card front so it is about 5/8" in from the left side and about 3/8" from the top.
Mount the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment from the Meant To Be Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Flirty Flamingo rectangle.
Pick out the large, open, scallop-edged heart framelit that cuts out a heart that is 1-7/8" wide from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. Place the sentiment stamped Flirty Flamingo rectangle on the Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the heart framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: This framelit cuts out the center heart shape which you are using on this project. It also cuts out a thin, scallop-edged heart frame. Use the Die Brush and/or Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the heart frame and throw it away or use it on another project.
Adhere the sentiment heart cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the left side of the designer paper banner a bit and is about 3/4" from the top of the designer paper banner.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the Lovely Lipstick rectangle. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Lovely Lipstick Cardstock on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Lovely Lipstick facing up).
Pick out the grouping of small open hearts thinlit from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. Place it on top of the Lovely Lipstick Cardstock on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Tip: Keep the small cut out hearts to use on another project or two.
Peel the protective backing off of the grouping of small open hearts cut out and adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the sentiment heart just a bit.
Cut an 8" piece of Lovely Lipstick 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the lower right side of the sentiment heart cut out at a slight angle.
