L earn to Partial Die Cut a scalloped heart window in the card front, Emboss the front panel, and decorate the heart on the inside.
Project Recipe
cut a standard card base- 21cm x 14.7cm score at 10.5
Place the framelit on your card front extending over the centre score line
Place the bottom cutting pad of your Bigshot sandwich as normal, place the top pad with the straight edge lined up with the Centre Score line and run this through the bigshot, the pressure will only be applied to part of the frame and will cut the cardstock only in that place.
You will have a partial cut frame.
Fold along the score line with care, you will be adhering the partial shapes to the inside so that the finished heart has a little more height than the card front
Use a textured embossing folder to add more detail to the card front if you wish.
Cut a panel of whisper white for the inside 10cm x 14.7cm, You can decorate the edge if desired - I used the long stitched edge in the Meant to be framelits.
Cut a second scallop heart in a contrasting colour using the same size framelits you already used.
I used Soft Sea Foam and sponged the scallop with a sponge dauber and added ink to add more depth.
Adhere the inside panel to the inside.
Also cut a heart from patterned DSP
adhere the partial diecuts to the inside- make sure the heart and scallop are lined up together and sitting flat.
adhere your DSP shape (heart and scallop) over the blueberry bushel shapes.
Decorate the front of the card as desired.
I fussy cut some leaf sprays from the DSP, and punch 3 small butterflies.
I tied a bow using 2 strands from the white flax ribbon and added a sentiment from the Meant to Be set, and a few scattered sequins.
Fold the edges of your DSP heart and the added scallop frame to the back and glue securely in place.
