E legant Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Christmas Pines Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "season of joy" sentiment from the Christmas Pines Set on Block G. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large Whisper White rectangle about 3/8" from the bottom edge.
Insert the stamped white rectangle into the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Make sure you can see the logos on the front flap of the folder and the sentiment stamped on the cardstock. Line the paper up inside the folder so the sentiment will be centered between two of the ruffle lines along the bottom. Place the folder with the paper inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the stamped and dry embossed white rectangle to the large Basic Black rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock layers so the ribbon is about 1/2" above the stamped sentiment. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the black rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Place the line of bare trees stamp from the Lovely As A Tree Set on your work surface so the rubber is facing up. Put a piece of Scotch tape across the stamp so it covers the edge of the tree just to the left of the large tree right in the center of the stamp. Ink up the large tree in the center and the two trees to the right with the StazOn Ink Pad by pouncing the pad onto the stamp. It is okay to get ink on the tape, but make sure not to get ink on the rest of the stamp on the left side of the tape. Remove the piece of Scotch tape. Stamp the image in the center of the smaller white rectangle. Remember you are only stamping some of the trees!
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a 3" long oval. Place the stamped trees image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top so it is centered over the trees. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the scalloped oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a 3-1/2" long scalloped oval. Place the smaller Basic Black rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the trees oval to the center of the scalloped black oval.
Adhere the matted oval to the top of the card front.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere a Snowflake Trinket to the front of the card so it overlaps the ovals a bit on the lower left side.
Cut a 4" piece of the Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the center of the ribbon already on the card.
