A bright, bold card made with Watts of Occasions. This card uses sponge daubers for the great halo effect of the light.
Project Recipe
Cut Thick Whisper White cardstock to 4 1/4" x 11". Score at 5 1/2" and fold.
Cut Real Red cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4".
Cut Basic Black cardstock to 2 1/4" x 3 1/4".
Cut Whisper White cardstock to 2" x 3".
Cut a strip of Crushed Curry to 3/4". Slice a 1 1/2" piece to stamp sentiment on. Use banner punch on remaining strip. Set punch out aside.
Find the black and white polka dot / art supply DSP in the Pick a Pattern set. Cut a section to 3" x 4".
Using SNAIL, adhere Real Red cardstock to your folded base. Again using SNAIL adhesive, attach the black and white DSP to the red at an angle.
Stamp the heart bulb from Watts of Occasions in Basic Black Archival ink onto your Whisper White cardstock.
Using a sponge dauber in a circular motion apply Crushed Curry in to your bulb. You can add as much or as little color as you want. I spread the halo out around the bulb.
For the red heart, you can cut a mask and apply Real Red with a dauber, or you can color with a Real Red marker.
Using SNAIL, attach your stamped image to the Basic Black cardstock.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals, attach to the center of your card.
Stamp the LOVE YOU WATTS & WATTS sentiment (in Basic Black) onto your piece of Crushed Curry cardstock. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to position my block.
Next, apply two strips of Tear & Tape to the back of the cardstock. This allows for easy application after cutting.
Cut each word separately and adhere to card.
Finally, attach your cutout from the banner punch at the bottom right edge of the stamped bulb.
