Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4" of pink plaid design from Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 6-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
Insert the large white rectangle into the Button Button Embossing Folder. Use the line drawn on the front of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the front of the Pretty Pink card.
Pick out the half purse die from the All Dressed Up Dies. Put it on top of the piece of Pleased As Punch Designer Paper on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the large open panel with the tabs at the top will be cut out. Run through the tool.
Use Paper Snips to trim off any excess cardstock along the score lines on the bottom and side.
Pick out the the long, thin strap die from the All Dressed Up Dies. Put it on top of one side of the Petal Pink Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Repeat in the center of the cardstock so you have two straps. Keep ALL pieces!
Pick out the stitched, scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies that cuts out a scalloped rectangle that is 2" x 3-1/4". Put it on top of the remaining bit of Petal Pink cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool you'll cut out one long edge using the die. Don't worry that you won't get the whole rectangle, you just need one long edge. Run through the tool.
Adhere the long strip of scalloped edge Petal Pink Cardstock to the back of the plaid sundress so the scallops just peek out along the bottom edge. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the right edge as needed. Don't worry about making it super neat, this edge will be covered by the sentiment in a later step.
Put a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of one end of each long strap. Remove the protective backings and adhere the straps to the notches at the top of the sundress.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the sundress on the card front at a slight angle so the bottom left corner of the sundress is about 1/4" from the bottom edge and the bottom right corner is about 1/4" from the right edge.
Use a Bone Folder to score an angled line on the straps so they will fold towards the center of the sundress and the tops of the straps will NOT go over the top of the card.
Fold the straps down and secure in place on the back of the sundress using Tear & Tape Adhesive. Trim off excess strap pieces as needed.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL Adhesive to the back of the sundress. Adhere the sundress in place on the front of the card.
Mount the small plaid elephant image from the Little Elephant Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" white rectangle.
Pick out the the rectangle with a bump on top pocket die from the All Dressed Up Dies. Put it on top of the stamped cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the elephant is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the elephant pocket cut out to the front of the sundress.
Mount the "hello little one" sentiment from the Little Elephant Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of remaining white cardstock in the center.
Unlock the 1" Circle Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Keep ALL pieces!
Roll the edge of the sentiment circle punch out across the open Petal Pink Ink Pad to color the edges.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment circle punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower right corner of the sundress.
Pick out both of the smaller button dies with 2 holes in them from the All Dressed Up Dies. Put them on top of the remaining bit of white cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the tool. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the button cut outs to the ends of the straps on both sides of the sundress.
