T his sweet little birthday girl is ready for her birthday.
Project Recipe
Cut List:
Thick Basic White - 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
Basic White - 1/2 x 2-1/2
Blushing Bride - 4 x 5-1/4 and 1/8 x 4-1/4
Pacific Point -5 x3-1/2
DSP Background - Approx. 2-2/4 x 4
DSP Front Piece - Approx. 2-5/8 x 3-3/4 (Die Cut Little Girl out with the Layering Ovals Die Cuts) * I made another card with the die cut piece
Window Sheet - Approx. 2-1/2 x 3-1/2
White Crinkle Seam Binding - about 5" (Color with Blushing Bride Marker)
Add Pacific Point layer to the Blushing Bride layer and wrap Chevron Ribbon around both layers about 1" from the top of the Blushing Bride piece. If you don't have the ribbon, use a coordinating DSP strip about 3/4 x 4. Adhere these layers to the card front.
Place adhesive around the back of the die cut front layer, and adhere the Window Sheet to it.
Snip Adhesive Strips almost all the way through, about every 1/4" and adhere to window sheet around the perimeter of the die cut border. Snipping it, helps it curve without leaving any gaps for the sequins to slip through. Leave the top backing on the tape. Adhere the background DSP to the card front as desired.
Place two or three sequins on the area where the little girl will show through the window with a small amount of adhesive. This way, at least a few sequins will always be visible in the window. When you are satisfied, make a small pile of sequins in the middle of the little girl image.
Peel the release paper off the Adhesive Tape Strips and carefully place the card front onto the background piece. Press firmly all around to seal the adhesive down so the sequins don't slip out or stick to the Adhesive Tape Strips.
Stamp the Greeting on the White strip in Pacific Point ink and adhere to the card front after snipping the ends to make them into banners.
Tie the ribbon into a small bow and adhere to the bottom of the frame with a glue dot.
Decorate the inside of the card as desired. I used the negatives from another card to make the greeting. I also later added a small strip of Blushing Bride cardstock near the bottom to bring some more color in.
