Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cajun Craze Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Sahara Sand Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" of light brown tweed design from He's The Man 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" from Sahara Sand Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 4" from Sahara Sand Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Sahara Sand Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
Rub the open Sahara Sand Ink Pad across the inside of the top flap (the one with the logo on it) of the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
Insert the 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" Sahara Sand rectangle into the inky embossing folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine. Set aside to let it dry a bit.
Tip: Clean the embossing folder when you are done by running it under water until all the ink is gone. Allow the folder to air dry.
Use your fingers to tear along one long edge of the inked and textured Sahara Sand rectangle.
Adhere the torn, inked and textured Sahara Sand rectangle to the bottom of the vertical He's The Man Designer Paper rectangle so it is about 1-3/4" tall along the highest point. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess Sahara Sand Cardstock along the left, bottom, and right edges as needed.
Adhere the designer paper/cardstock layer to the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" Sahara Sand rectangle and then to the front of the Cajun Craze card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Lighthouse Point Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the solid lighthouse image from the Lighthouse Point Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/4" x 4" Sahara Sand rectangle.
Pick out the matching, small, open lighthouse die from the Lighthouse Dies. Put it on top of the stamped lighthouse on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Adhere the lighthouse cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the left side of the torn, textured Sahara Sand layer. The left edge of the lighthouse cut out should be about 1" from the left edge of the card and the top of the lighthouse cut out should be about 3/4" from the top of the card.
Pick out the "sending love & light," "so much thanks!," or "without you I would be lost" sentiment from the Lighthouse Point Set. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining 1" x 3-1/4" Sahara Sand strip.
Pick out the smaller pointed end label die from the Lighthouse Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Cajun Craze Stampin' Write Marker to outline the edges of the sentiment label cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the lighthouse and the right edge of the sentiment cut out is about 1/2" from the right edge of the card.
Pick out the ray of light die from the Lighthouse Dies. Put it on top of the Crushed Curry rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the ray of light cut out to the front of the card so it appears to be coming out to the right side of the top of the lighthouse as shown.
Cut a 16" piece of the Linen Thread.
Fold the Linen Thread in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded thread. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the Linen Thread bow to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it covers the bottom of the lighthouse cut out to the left of the sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small gold sequin from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card in the center of the lighthouse top as shown.
