Project Recipe
Cut cardstock to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Granny Apple Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 3-7/8" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 1" x 3-7/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3 pieces each 1-1/2" x 1-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Press Block E directly onto the open Balmy Blue Ink Pad to get one surface completely inked up. Lightly spritz the inky block with water. Press the inky block directly onto the center of the large white rectangle. Press firmly for a moment and then lift the block up. You should have a rectangle of mottled blue on the cardstock. Set it aside to let it dry.
Tip: An old Stampin' Mist bottle filled with water works great.
Mount the small hot air balloon image from the Lift Me Up Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it on one of the 1-1/2" x 1-3/4" white rectangles. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it on the remaining two white rectangles remembering to re-ink each time. You should have 3 stamped hot air balloons.
Pick out the small, open hot air balloon framelit from the Up & Away Thinlits. Place one of the stamped balloon images on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the balloon framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped balloon image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the other two balloon images.
Use the Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, and Balmy Blue Markers to color in the balloon cut outs as desired.
Mount the sentiment of your choice from the Lift Me Up Set on Block H. Ink up the sentiment using the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, use the brush tip of the Night of Navy Marker to color over some of the words on the sentiment. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp in the center of the white strip.
Adhere the stamped white strip to the Daffodil Delight strip.
If the background block image on the white cardstock is dry, proceed to the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying using a Heat Tool if you wish.
Adhere the matted sentiment strip to the block background white piece about 1-1/4" from the bottom.
Adhere the white cardstock to the Balmy Blue rectangle and then to the front of the Granny Apple Green card.
Tip: Because the white layer got wet, use a lot of SNAIL especially around the edges to adhere it in place.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored hot air balloon cut outs to the front of the card at different angles. Let them overlap the edges of the block background and the sentiment strip a bit.
