Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Tahitian Tide Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 3" x 5-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3" x 5-1/2" from Pacific Point Cardstock
- 3" x 5-1/2" from Tahitian Tide Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 2-7/8" x 5-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 6" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Let's Set Sail Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Let Your Dreams Set Sail" sentiment from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the horizontal Balmy Blue rectangle.
Mount the large wave image from the Waves Of Inspiration Set on Block F. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it on the 3" x 5-1/2" piece of white cardstock.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the wave by hand.
One at a time, peel the protective backings off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangles. Adhere one Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Pacific Point rectangle and the other to one side of the Tahitian Tide rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backings in place for now.
Pick out both large wave dies from the
Waves Dies. Put the one with the more flat top wave on top of the Pacific Point rectangle and the one with the more rounded wave on top of the Tahitian Tide rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the blue sides are face up. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the Pacific Point wave cut out. Adhere it to the top of the Shaded Spruce wave cut out.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the Tahitian Tide wave cut out. Adhere it to the top of the layered wave cut out.
Adhere the layered wave to the bottom of the stamped Balmy Blue rectangle so the left, bottom, and right edges are even.
Adhere the Balmy Blue rectangle to the front of the Tahitian Tide card.
Mount the sailboat hull and mast image from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the bottom of the vertical Soft Suede rectangle so the hull of the boat is at the bottom.
Unlock the Sailboat Builder Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped hull and mast boat image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the hull and mast punch out to the front of the card so the base of the boat sits on the top of the wave on the right side of the card front and the right edge of the hull is about 3/8" from the right edge of the card.
Mount the smaller, curved sail image from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block B. Use the brush tips of the Shaded Spruce and Pacific Point Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the image in alternating stripes of color. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the image on the bottom of the vertical 1-1/2" x 6" white strip so the point at the top of the sail is pointing up.
Hold the unlocked Sailboat Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sail image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Keep the punched out sail and the rest of the white strip. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sail punch out to the front side of the boat on the card.
Mount the larger, more triangular sail image from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block C. Use the brush tips of the Shaded Spruce and Pacific Point Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the image in alternating stripes of color. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the image on the other end of the 1-1/2" x 6" white strip so the point at the top of the sail is pointing down.
Hold the unlocked Sailboat Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sail image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sail punch out to the back side of the boat on the card.
Pick out both cloud dies from the Waves Dies. Put them on top of the remaining piece of white cardstock on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the larger cloud cut out to the front of the card in the upper right corner.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the smaller cloud cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom left side of the larger cloud slightly.
