Project Recipe
Cut the supplies:
Card base (here Misty Moonlight): 4-1/4" x 11" and scored along the 11" side at 1-1/4" & 5-1/2"; 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and scored along the 5-1/2" side at 1/2" and 4-3/4" (or you could score 1/2" on one end and 3/4" on the other)
Layers (here Balmy Blue): 4" x 4"; 1" x 4"
Designer Series Paper (here Les Shoppes): Print #1: 3-7/8" x 3-7/8"; 7/8" x 3-7/8"; 1/2" x 4"; Print #2: (for front) 1/4" x 2-1/4"; Print #3: (for inside scene) 4" x 4"
Basic White (for inside greeting): 4" x 4"; scraps for front greeting & stamped shop & flower pot
Night of Navy (for frame): 3" x 3"
Scraps of Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Pebbled Path, Misty Moonlight & Petal Pink for die-cut details.
Cut square from center of the 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card stock base piece using the Stylish Shapes Dies.
Fold card base along score lines (should have 2 mountain folds for each piece).
Attach the 3/4" flap of the 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card base (the one with the window opening) onto the underside of the 1-1/4" flap of the 11" x 4-1/4" card base, using either Tear & Tape or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Attach the 4" x 4" DSP to the inside of the card base just under the 1-1/4" fold, centering in the space between score lines. (This should be the Balmy Blue store-front scene.)
Stamp & color with choice of coloring mediums, the store front & Leafy Pot using Basic Gray and cut out using coordinating die set. (I used Stampin' Blends: Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Pebbled Path, Balmy Blue & Granny Apple Green.)
Assemble store-front scene, layering the window awning (cut using Misty Moonlight & Petal Pink card stock scraps) using Stampin' Dimensionals. Attach the stamped & assembled store-front to the DSP using adhesive.
Attach the Night of Navy frame over the opening, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Attach the "light" in the die-cut lamp-post to the inside of the lamp-post by attaching a tiny strip of cardstock scrap along the backside of the lamp-post, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Attach the lamp-post to the inside of the frame opening, just enough to attach using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Lay the card base flat, with the 1/2" flap facing up. Apply a thin layer of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the flap and close the card. This will attach the flap to the card for the Diorama to be seen.
Stamp the inside greeting (here I used Misty Moonlight) to the Basic White 4" x 4" piece. Attach to the lower part of the inside of the card. Attach the 1/2" x 4" strip of DSP to the lower portion of the Basic White piece.
Attach the remaining DSP pieces to the coordinating Balmy Blue layers. Attach the smaller piece to the lower edge of the front and the larger piece to the upper.
Attach the 1/4" strip of DSP to the lower edge of the Night of Navy Square for pebbled walkway.
Attach the sun/moon (cut using the Stylish Shapes circle-2nd to smallest) to the square. Cut a park bench from Pecan Pie cardstock (I used Adhesive Sheets to the backside) and attach to the front.
Finally, stamp the "hello" greeting to the Basic White scrap and cut out using the small rectangle die from the coordinating set. Attach to the park bench scene using Stampin' Dimensionals.
