Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
Place the piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock on a clean work surface that will be easy to clean up. Place the brickwork mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks over the top. Secure the mask in place using tape or washi tape if desired.
Open the jar of Embossing Paste and get some paste on one of the Palette Knives. Smear the paste around on the mask with the knife. Leave some areas of the Crumb Cake Cardstock without any paste on them or very little paste.
Remove the mask and immediately clean the mask and knife with warm water. If you leave the paste on there, it will dry and be hard to remove. Also, be sure to put the lid back on the jar of Embossing Paste so that it doesn't dry out.
Set the piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock with the brick pattern on it aside to dry while you work on the rest of the card.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide the strip of Old Olive Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Place the punched piece of Old Olive Cardstock inside the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Unlock the Lemon Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the strip of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock into the punch. Carefully line up the cardstock so you'll punch out the two leaves on one end of the strip. Punch. Slide the other end of the strip back into the punch and line things up so you'll punch out one more of the smaller leaves. Punch.
Mount the lemon image from the Lemon Zest Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping the image, do a little thumping! Take the cap off the brush tip of the Lemon Lime Twist Marker. Randomly thump the brush tip of the marker around on the inked up image quite a few times. Breathe on the image to moisten the ink and stamp it on one end of the Whisper White Cardstock. To make it easier to punch, try to stamp with the sharper point of the lemon on the bottom. Clean the stamp using Stampin' Mist and the Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Repeat by inking up the lemon image with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad and thumping on it with the Lemon Lime Twist Marker before stamping it on the other end of the white cardstock. Again, try to stamp it so the sharper point of the lemon is on the bottom.
Unlock the Lemon Builder Punch again. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped lemon images into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the punching area. Make sure you aren't going to punch any of the other lemon with the leaves. Punch. Repeat with the other lemon image.
Check to see if your embossing paste on the Crumb Cake Cardstock is dry. If it is, you can lightly sand the cardstock edges with the sanding block if desired to remove any excess paste. You can also sand the surface of the cardstock if you want to remove excess paste.
Adhere the leaf embossed Old Olive banner to the right side of the Crumb Cake Cardstock about 1/2" in from the right side and bottom. Trim off excess along the top if needed.
Adhere the Crumb Cake layer to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Adhere the two lemon images to the top of the Old Olive banner so they overlap each other a bit and one hangs off the left side of the banner. Be sure to leave room for the leaves.
Adhere the Lemon Lime Twist leaves to the top of the lemons so they overlap each other and the lemons a bit.
Cut a 4" piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends. Adhere the ribbon knot to the card front so it is at the top of the lemons using a Mini Glue Dot.
Pick out a large iridescent sequin from the Metallics Sequin Assortment. Adhere it to the bottom right side of the right lemon using a Mini Glue Dot.
