Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Watercolor Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Watercolor Paper
- 2-3/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Old Olive Cardstock
Mount the citrus fruit slice image from the Lemon Zest Set on Block C.
Lightly spray the Watercolor Paper rectangle with water. Make sure to spray away from your work area so you don't get water where you don't want it.
Ink up the citrus fruit slice image with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly around the wet Watercolor Paper. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. The ink will bleed and run slightly since the paper is wet. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
If your Watercolor Paper is getting dry, lightly spray it with water again. Remember to spray away from your work area so you don't get things wet that you don't want to be wet.
Ink up the citrus fruit slice image with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly onto the damp Watercolor Paper filling in all remaining spaces. Let it overlap other images. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. The ink will bleed and run slightly since the paper is wet.
Set the stamped Watercolor Paper layer aside for a bit to let it dry while you work on the rest of the card.
Place the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock inside the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Lemon Lime Twist layer to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Mount the whole lemon image from the Lemon Zest Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it on left side of the Whisper White Cardstock square. To make it easier to punch, try to stamp with the sharper point of the lemon on the bottom.
Unlock the Lemon Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped lemon image into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the punching area. Punch.
Place the punched out lemon on your work surface at a slight angle. Mount one of the sentiments from the Lemon Zest Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the lemon punch out.
Unlock the Lemon Builder Punch again. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the strip of Old Olive Cardstock into the punch. Carefully line up the cardstock so you'll punch out the two leaves. Punch.
Cut a 3" piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
If the Watercolor Paper piece is dry, proceed. If it is not dry, you can speed up the drying process by using the Heat Tool.
Press the VersaMark Pad all over half of the stamped side of the Watercolor Paper. Sprinkle on Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. Tap off excess powder. Heat the half of the Watercolor Paper with the embossing powder on it using the Heat Tool until all of the powder is completely melted (shiny and smooth). There will be an appearance of bumps because of the texture of the Watercolor Paper.
Repeat with the other half of the Watercolor Paper. Return excess embossing powder to the jar to use again in the future.
Adhere the embossed Watercolor Paper piece to the Daffodil Delight rectangle using Tear & Tape Adhesive along the edges and SNAIL Adhesive in the middle.
Tip: Using Tear & Tape Adhesive on the edges will help keep the edges from curling up. They will want to curl since we got the Watercolor Paper wet and heat embossed it as well.
Adhere the matted piece to the center of the card front.
Adhere the lemon punch out to the lower left corner of the matted rectangle.
Adhere the leaves to the top of the lemon so they overlap each other a bit.
Adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the lemon/bottom of the leaves using a Mini Glue Dot.
