Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of small red candy canes on white background design from Sweetest Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-7/8" x 4-3/8" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 1-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" of tiny white dots on red background design from Sweetest Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 1" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3/4" x 1" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
Adhere the piece of small red candy canes Sweetest Christmas Designer Paper to the center of the large Sweet Sorbet rectangle and then to the front of the Real Red card.
Mount the "Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year" sentiment from the Kindest Gnomes Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it along the bottom of the vertical 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" white rectangle so it is centered side to side and very close to the bottom edge.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the smaller Sweet Sorbet rectangle and then to the center of the front of the card.
Pick out the large hat die from the Gnomes Dies. Put it on top of the tiny white dots on red Sweetest Christmas Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Pick out the large beard die from the Gnomes Dies. Put it on top of the 1-3/4" x 2" white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use small amounts of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the hat cut out to the top of the beard cut out where they overlap (hint: the die cut beard will have areas outlined where the hat and nose go).
Pick out one of the small oval dies from the Gnomes Dies. Put it on top of the Blushing Bride rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the nose cut out to the top of the beard/hat cut out where they overlap (hint: the die cut beard will have areas outlined where the hat and nose go).
Pick out the legs and feet die from the Gnomes Dies. Put it on top of the small Real Red rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Pick out the tag with holes on the ends die from the Candy Canes Dies. Put it on top of the 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the tag in half as shown. Then, trim down one side as shown so you have a small piece about 1-3/4" square with a big hole in it.
Use a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the flat edge of the cut down tag to adhere it to the top of the legs and feet cut out.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the legs and feet with tag attached on top of the card front so they are centered just above the stamped sentiment. Then, WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the layered beard and hat cut outs on the front of the card so the beard covers most of the legs and feet as shown. Make sure everything fits on the white rectangle okay.
When happy with the spacing and placement, carefully remove the layered beard and hat cut outs. Put a Mini Stampin' Dimensional inside the center of the hole in the top of the tag attached to the legs and feet. Make sure NO adhesive touches the edges of the hole in the tag or your legs and feet won't swing. Leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Put Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the layered beard and hat behind the hat ONLY.
Remove the protective backings from all the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and carefully adhere the layered beard and hat to the front of the card. Give your card a tilt from side to side to make sure your legs and feet are going to swing freely.
Cut an 8" piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon so there is a sharp point on one end.
Feed the sharp end of the ribbon through the hole in the top of a bell from the Flat Jingle Bell Trinkets. Tie the ribbon in place using a small bow. Trim the ends.
Use Mini Glue Dots to attach the bell with thread bow attached to the front of the card at the top of the gnome's hat as shown.
