I
MHO, this is the best set in the 2019 Stampin'UP! Occasions catalogue! Since it's shown at 50% of actual size in the brochure, it is larger in real life than it appears in the mini but it is way cute, very versatile and a bargain for only $13 hostess reward dollars!
So let's get stamping...the set is perfect for notecards but looks great as a full A2 size card with an extralayer or two.
Project Recipe
Use Tuxedo Black permanent ink to stamp flower pot with tulip image on smallest white square with 3" side as the base, either mask off the happy mother's day sentiment or use a slightly larger white square to cut to size after stamping to remove that greeting. OR use your stamparatus to position and stamp the image right at bottom edge with no muss ans no fuss! This is especially helpful if you are doing multiples of the! same card
Co!or image as desired. with watercolor pencils.
I used :
Calypso Coral pencil for flowerpot and tulip blossoms,
Bermuda Bay light application for inside background and Old Olive pencil forleaf and stems then blended each color separately with Clear Wink of Stella pen. Be sure to wipe off Stella brushtip in between colors tp preveny "muddying" of colors.
Allow blending to dry thoroughly then run white square thru the Layered Leaves embossing folder and adhere to Grey Granits square.
Use Calypso Coral ink to stamp the "Make a Wish" sentiment from Life is Grand set (or whatever sentiment you prefer) along bottlom edge of one of the large white panels then run that piece thru Layered Leaves emboss folder.
step 3 : Stamp "...and enjoy your day", Happy Birthday sentiment on the second 4" x5.25" white panel and attach to inside of Calypso card base.
Attach flowerpot white panel to Grey square then use dimensional s to attach grey square to the embossed and stamped Make a Wish panel.
Adhere the flowerpot\Make a Wish cardstock piece to front piece to of folded Calypso card base.
Emboss the back flap of envelope with leaf embossing folder if desired...then YOU enjoy YOUR day, too!
