Using the Butterfly Duet punch, cut out large butterfly from Botanical Butterfly designer series paper (DSP).
Adhere 4-7/8" x 1-1/4" DSP to layers with SNAIL adhesive.
Adhere 4" x 1" DSP to layers with dimensionals.
Adhere punched butterfly to layers with dimensionals.
Apply adhesive backed sequins to layers.
Fold 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Basic Black cardstock in half for card base.
Adhere layers to card front with dimensionals.
Create masks by punching butterflies out of a sticky note.
Tip: be sure at least a portion of the punched images are along the sticky section.
Sometimes when you only ink up a portion of an image and stamp your project, you may get a bit of a halo effect depending on how clean your scrub is. To avoid any issues I like to use the sticky note masks to ensure I don't have any issues.
Ink up the portion of the image you want to stamp.
Place the mask over the portion you do not want to stamp.
Stamp your image.
Remove mask and clean stamp.
For a lighter multi-color image, use daubers to apply ink directly to the stamp surface.
Stamp image.
Clean stamp before re-applying additional ink for best results.
Stamp sentiment from Butterfly Gala stamp set in Memento ink on 5-1/4" x 4" Whisper White cardstock.
Stamp detailed butterflies in Memento ink using the masking technique explained in step 6.
Stamp solid butterflies in Balmy Blue and Grapefruit Grove inks using the dauber technique explained in step 7.
Adhere layer to inside of card with SNAIL adhesive.
Hope you enjoy!
