C ontemporary Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/2" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3 strips each 1" x 4-3/4" of green with white dots/red, green, and light blue diagonal stripes on white background design from Sweetest Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" of red and white diagonal stripes design from Sweetest Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the three 1" strips of Sweetest Christmas Designer Paper vertically on the vertical 3-1/2" x 5" white rectangle to figure out spacing and placement. Decide which pattern you want showing on each strip of designer paper. When happy with the arrangement, adhere the pieces in place one at a time.
Adhere the cardstock/designer paper strips rectangle to the front of the Garden Green card in the center.
Unlock the Decorative Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the red & white diagonal stripes Sweetest Christmas Designer Paper into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the red & white stripes decorative circle punch out to the front of the card so the top is about 1-1/8" from the top edge of the card and the left edge is about 1/8" from the left side of the card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Jingle Jingle Jingle Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the patterned letters "jolly" image from the Jingle Jingle Jingle Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-3/4" x 4" white rectangle slightly closer to the bottom edge.
Mount the outlined letters "jolly" image from the Jingle Jingle Jingle Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle so it outlines the previously stamped patterned letters.
Mount the "'tis the season to be" sentiment from the Jingle Jingle Jingle Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle just above the previously stamped "jolly."
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" stitched rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped jolly rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the words are centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the right edge of the decorative circle punch out and the right edge is about 1/8" from the right edge of the card.
Cut a 3" piece of the Garden Green ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle over the lower left corner of the sentiment rectangle cut out.
