S habby chic card using the Jar of Love bundle
Project Recipe
We are using a 6x4 inch card as a card base. You will need an A4 sheet of Pool Party cardstock and cut it down to 6 x 4 inches (15.2 x 10.1 cm), which fits onto the note card without a border.
Take some Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it down to 5 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches (14.6 x 9 cm).
Ink up the Hardwood Wood stamp with Pool Party ink and stamp it on the Very Vanilla cardstock. Using a sponge dauber, sponge the edges in Pool Party ink.
Take a scrap of the Pool Party cardstock and stamp the biggest of the Mason Jars in Pool Party ink. Use a stamping/piercing mat to ensure a crisp image. Go ahead and die cut the image.
A magnetic platform will help keep the die in place over your stamped image.
Using some Whisper White scrap paper, stamp the biggest of the flower twice in Pink Pirouette Ink. Then use the flower detail stamp, and stamp it in the middle of the image with Blushing Bride Ink. This is called two-step-stamping. Now add the little seed pods in Crumb Cake ink.
Repeat the steps above with the smaller flowers.
Then stamp some stems and foliage in Pear Pizzaz.
Die cut all the elements using the magnetic platform (or secure the dies with Washi tape).
Cut a strip of Very Vanilla to roughly 3 x 1 inch (7.5 x 2.5 cm). Stamp your sentiment, and punch out the triangle using the banner punch.
Cut a delicate doily in half, smoothing the edges a little, and attach it to the bottom of the stamped background, applying glue only in the centre of the doily.
Attach the stems and foliage to the back of the mason jar, and attach your flowers.
Wind some Linen thread around the top of the mason jar and tie it in a bow.
Using dimensionals, attach the mason jar to the stamped background, on top of the doily. I have popped up some of the flowers with dimensionals as well to give it more dimension.
Ink the edges of your sentiment piece with Blushing bride, using a sponge dauber. To make it appear curved, run it through your thumb and bone folder, curving the end the other way.
Apply some dimensionals to both ends, and stick it on top of your mason jar.
Glue the background to the piece of Pool Party cardstock and attach it to the card.
You are done! You can stamp a sentiment on the inside if you so wish.
