Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from So Saffron Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/4" of multi-colored dots on white background design from Sunshine & Rainbows 6" x 6" Design Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Mount the line of palm fronds image from the Island Vibes Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp the across the top of the horizontal Granny Apple Green rectangle so the straight left edge of the image is just off the left edge of the cardstock and the tops of the tallest fronds are about 1/4" from the top edge. Re-ink the stamp and stamp again on the right side at a slight angle and lower so you have palm fronds stamped all the way across the top of the rectangle. Make sure to have a piece of Grid Paper under your cardstock to protect your work surface.
Adhere the piece of Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper to the stamped green rectangle so the bottoms of the palm fronds are covered and the bottom of the designer paper is about 3/8" from the bottom of the cardstock.
Cut an 18" piece of the white twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack. Fold the twine into thirds.
Lay the folded twine across the center of the designer paper strip on the green rectangle. Flip the rectangle over and secure the ends of the folded twine in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add more adhesive to the back of the Granny Apple Green rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the So Saffron card.
Mount the pineapple image from the Island Vibes Set on Block H. Carefully press the bottom fruit part of the pineapple image to the open So Saffron Ink Pad. Leave the inked stamp on the block.
Carefully press the upper leaf part of the pineapple image to the open Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Leave the inked stamp on the block.
If needed, use the brush tip of the Granny Apple Green Marker to color over the bottom portion of the leaf part of the stamp so it is all green. Leave the inked stamp on the block.
Place the completely inked pineapple stamp on the block on your work surface rubber side up. Use the brush tip of the Mango Melody Marker to tap around the bottom, fruit portion of the inked up stamp. Leave the inked stamp on the block.
Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the pineapple image in the center of the 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" white rectangle.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the pineapple image by hand.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out pineapple image to the front of the card so it is centered over the twine and designer paper at a slight angle on the left side as shown.
As you are ready to stamp using the Special Moments Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Special Moments Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal 2" x 3-1/2" white rectangle in the center leaving room to punch it out.
Tip: You can hold the stamp sentiments against the image of the punch out printed on top of the punch to make sure they will fit in the punch out space before stamping them.
Unlock the Everyday Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Mango Melody Marker to outline the edges of the sentiment punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the twine and designer paper and the left edge overlaps the right edge of the pineapple cut out a bit.
Cut an 8" piece of the white baker's twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.
Slide one end of the twine piece under the strands of twine already on the card front on the right side of the sentiment punch out. Tie in place with a small bow. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 small Pale Papaya gems from a sheet of Genial Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the upper right corner of the card front as shown.
