Pattern Party Designer Series Paper
- Cut 2 - 4" x 4" of different but
coordinating designs and cut both
diagonally (you will only use 1 set for
this card, save the 2nd set for
another card)
- Cut a 4" x 4" piece for the inside
using a different pattern than what
you used for the pieces above. You
want to use a pattern that is not too
busy as you are going to stamp on
this piece. You can also just
substitute a 4" x 4" of Basic White
card stock as well.
Ribbon
- cut a 5" and a 4" piece
NOTE: the ribbon I used on this card
is not available to order until August
3rd and can be found in the 2021 July
- December Mini Catalog
Rhinestones - 3 rhinestones colored with Dark Polished Pink Blend marker. You can substitute any embellishment you have on hand that might coordinate with the colors on the card.
Take the thick Basic White card base and burnish on the 4 1/4" scoreline.
The card front is the panel that has the diagonal score line on it. Take your 2 diagonal pieces of Designer Series Paper and decide which pattern you want on the top and bottom, then adhere those pieces to the card front. NOTE - make sure you do not place the diagonal edges on the scoreline, you do not want anything to inhibit the card from folding on that scoreline.
Take the 4" x 4" piece of DSP and randomly stamp the small flower from the In Symmetry set using Polished Pink Ink. Adhere this to the inside of the card.
Take the 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and stamp the sentiment using Memento Ink. Adhere this to the 1 7/8" x 1 5/8" of Basic Black card stock and set this piece aside. It's the last thing we will add to the card.
Take the 3 3/4" x 3" piece of Basic White cardstock. Starting from the top of this panel, stamp the flower using Polished Pink ink, making sure you are about 1.8" from the top of the panel. NOTE - You need to make sure there's room to fit the stem and the sentiment and still have room to add the ribbon to the bottom.
After you stamp the pink flower, stamp the stem next using Black Memento ink. Then add the leaves, and lastly, stamp the sentiment.
Take the 5" piece of the black and white checked ribbon and wrap it around the bottom portion of the panel, just under the sentiment. Wrap the ends around to the back of the panel and adhere using double-sided tape. Then take the full panel and adhere it to the 3 7/8" x 3 1/8" Basic Black mat. Then you can take the 4" piece of black and white checked ribbon and slide it under the ribbon at the bottom and tie a simple knot.
Next, you'll want to attach the stamped panel to the front of the card, BUT, you are only going to apply dimensionals to the lower right-hand side of that panel. This is to allow the card to fold and rest against the sentiment that will be placed on the inside of the card.
Line up the panel on the center of the card front. There will be more room on the left and right than on the top and bottom. Keeping the panel centered, gently lift the card front, placing your thumb on the lower right-hand side of the panel, and gently fold the card on the diagonal score line, bending the bottom of the card front in towards the inside of the card. Continue bending until the bottom of the card front meets the inside scoreline.
Gently flip the card over so that you see the back of the front panel.
Take a pencil and run it down the diagonal fold.
You will not see this pencil line once the card is assembled.
This is the front panel piece flipped over to the back. You will place dimensionals where you see the circles.
Once the dimensionals are applied, remove the backings, grab the card front again, and re-position the panel on the front of the card again.
The last step is to take the sentiment piece and place 4 dimensionals, one in each corner. Gently fold the card front in towards the inside of the card again, and before removing the backing, determine where you want it to be place on the inside. Then you can peel off the backing and adhere the sentiment to the inside.
And your card is finished!
