Project Recipe
Take a piece of A4 card and trim it in length to 11" (28cm).
With the short side at the top. score 2" (5cm) in from both edges.
With the long side at the top, score at:
3/4" (2cm)
4 1/2" (11.5cm)
6 1/2" ( 16.5cm)
and 10 1/4" (26cm)
Along the long side make a mark 2" each way from the centre score lines and then make a diagonal score line between this mark and the point where the diagonal and horizontal score lines meet (see picture)
Turn the card over if stamping and stamp between the long centre panel and the central horizontal panel using versamark ink and the "Bloom by Bloom" stamp set. Heat emboss the images using clear embossing powder.
Turn the card back over and add your adhesive. I have used strips of tear and tape. See picture for areas that need adhesive.
Stick the side panels down. You can then store the bag like this until you are ready to use it. If you want to emboss your bag with the ruffles textured embossing folder, now is the time to do it. This bag was finished by adding a spritz of frost white shimmer paint ( a few drops of paint added to a spritzer and filled with rubbing alcohol) and some more frost white shimmer paint was applied along the embossed ridges with a sponge dauber.
Finish your project with tags made from 5cm x 9cm strips of card and the tag punch. The stamps used on the pink bag are from the "Perennial Birthday" set. Add ribbon, twine, faceted gems, self-adhesive rhinestones or pearls and any other embellishments required.
