T his is a fun fold technique that I have seen floating around the internet. It may look like it is IMPOSSIBLE but follow the instructions and you will find that it is quite EASY to make.
Project Recipe
Cut your cardbase at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
On the 4 1/4" side score at 2 1/8"
On the 5 1/2" side make a line at 2 3/4" to the 2 1/8" score line.
Rotate paper to the other side, do not flip it over. Make a line on both sides at 1" to the 2 1/8" score line.
Cut the marked lines.
Cut another piece of cardstock at 2 5/8" x 4 1/8" for the side layer.
With the 2 5/8" side across the top, score at 7/8".
Turn to the 4 1/8" side and score at 2".
Cut away larger square as one is larger by 1/8".
To layer a piece of cardstock onto to the side piece cut at 2 1/2" x 4".
With the 2 1/2" side at the top, score at 3/4"
Turn to 4" side and score at 1 7/8", remove larger square as one square will be larger. Use this templemlet to cut one or two out of your desired paper.
Layer the two pieces onto each other and adhere to card. You can use the L shaped pieces as templements to make more shapes by cutting a piece of card stock or designer series paper at the size and holding the L shaped piece as a template cut the shape out.
For the focal point rectangle in the center of the card, cut a piece of paper of paper at 2" x 3 3/8" for a layer.
Cut whisper white cardstock at 1 7/8" x 3 1/4" to stamp on for the focal point rectangle.
Stamp the sentiment on a spare piece of white cardstock.
Cut sentiment out using circle framelits.
Using a larger circle framelit cut out a scalloped circle to go around the sentiment.
Cut a strip of coordinating cardstock at 1" x 5 1/2"
Adhere everything together.
