T he hummingbird comes alive with the Brusho technique!
Project Recipe
Use the 5 1/2" X 8 1/4" piece of Soft Seafoam to make a card base scoring at 4 1/4".
Begin by stamping the image of the hummingbird and the hibiscus in Momento Tuxedo Black using the Stamparatus to position the stamps.
Prepare the watercolor paper for the Brusho by temporarily adhering it to a sturdy surface leaving about a 1/4" border . Painter's tape worked best for me.
Choose the colors of Brusho that you want for the image and very lightly tap the Brusho on the watercolor paper.
Using the Stampin' Spritzer, lightly spray the watercolor paper.
Using a paper towel, blot the excess water and Brusho from the watercolor paper. Allow the image to dry, then remove from the work surface.
Cut the cardstock to these dimensions:
Basic Black 5 1/4" X 4"
Grapefruit Grove 5 1/8" X 3 7/8" and
5 1/4" X 4"
Watercolor Paper 5 1/4 X 4" after image has dried, trim to 5 X 3 3/4"
Very Vanilla 5 X 3 3/4"
Use the framelit from the Hummingbird Framelits to make the grunge design. Stamp the sentiment and adhere to the 5 1/4" X 4" piece of Grapefruit Grove, then adhere to the inside of the card.
After the Brusho has completely dried, trim to 5" X 3 3/4.
Assemble the layers for the front of the card.
