Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petunia Pop Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Old Olive Cardstock
-3-3/4" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" square from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2" square from Petunia Pop Cardstock
- 1-7/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Old Olive Cardstock
Insert the 3-3/4" x 5" white rectangle into the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder so the grain runs horizontally across the vertical rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle over the top of the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Old Olive rectangle at a slight angle as shown.
Cut a 4" piece of the Petunia Pop 3/8" Bordered Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on one end.
Lay the ribbon across the white/Old Olive rectangle so it is about 1" from the bottom and the sharp angle is on the right about 1/4" from the edge . Fold the left end of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape piece and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Old Olive rectangle. Adhere to the front of the Petunia Pop card at a slight angle as shown.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the front of the card so it will be directly under the ribbon. Remove the protective backing and adhere the loose bit of ribbon to the Tear & Tape.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hot Air Balloon Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large balloon top with an opening in the center image from the Hot Air Balloon Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Petunia Pop Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the top of the vertical 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" white rectangle.
Mount the center balloon image with scallops from the Hot Air Balloon Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped balloon image so the dots are at the tops of the scallops.
Mount the large balloon basket (gondola) image from the Hot Air Balloon Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the white rectangle leaving room to cut out both pieces.
Pick out the matching, open balloon die and the larger, matching, open basket die from the Hot Air Balloon Dies. Put them on top of the stamped images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the images. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Adhere the top of the balloon cut out to the front of the card so it is about 3/4" from the top and about 5/8" from the left side.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the basket cut out to the front of the card so the tops of the connecting sticks are tucked under the bottom of the balloon.
Pick out the open heart die from the Hot Air Balloon Dies. Put it on top of the Old Olive square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the Petunia Pop square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the striped heart die from the Hot Air Balloon Dies. Put it on top of the Petunia Pop square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the pink (Petunia Pop) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the striped heart cut out. Adhere it to the center of the Old Olive cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered heart cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they just overlap the right side of the big balloon and the bottom of the hearts is about 1/4" above the ribbon.
Pick out the solid basket die from the Hot Air Balloon Dies. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the basket cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the top of the ribbon and the connecting sticks are tucked under the bottom of the layered heart cut out.
Mount the "wish big" sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon Set on Block C so it is as straight as possible. Ink it up with the Petunia Pop Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining Old Olive strip.
Pick out the skinny rectangle label with notches on the ends die from the Unbounded Love Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is centered over the ribbon and is about 1/2" from the left edge.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Petunia Pop 3/8" Bordered Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot at an angle to the front of the card as shown so it is on the left side of the sentiment label cut out and centered over the ribbon.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 small Petunia Pop gems from a sheet of 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
