Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Soft Sky Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Island Indigo Cardstock
- 3-3/8" x 3-7/8" from Soft Sky Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 3-3/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Soft Sky Cardstock
-
Place the Island Indigo rectangle into the Sparkle Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Island Indigo layer to the front of the Soft Sky card.
Place the piece of scratch paper on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Place the Crumb Cake rectangle on the scratch paper. The Mat will help insure that you get a clean, crisp stamped image and the scratch paper will protect the Mat from ink.
Mount the large dune with the cut out for the base of the lighthouse image from the High Tide Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the Crumb Cake rectangle so the cut out for the lighthouse is about 1/2" from the left side and about 3/8" up from the bottom. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Ink the dune image up again with the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the Crumb Cake dune image.
Tip 1: If this is the first time you've used the Uninked Ink Pad, be sure to ink it up first by squeezing some of the refill on to the pad and smearing it in with the tip of the refill bottle or a plastic spoon back.
Tip 2: You can clean the Craft Ink Pad off the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but the Craft Ink will gunk up your cleaning pads. I recommend using a baby wipe to remove most of the Craft Ink from the stamp and then use the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub to remove any residue. The Stampin' Mist will also condition your stamp.
Mount the horizontally striped lighthouse image from the High Tide Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Crumb Cake layer so that the base of the lighthouse fits into the notch in the dune.
Mount the vertically striped lighthouse on Block H. Ink it up with the Island Indigo Ink Pad. Stamp it on top of the other lighthouse image.
Mount the ray of light image from the High Tide Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Crumb Cake layer so that the beam is coming out of the right side of the lighthouse at an upward angle.
Tip: Clean the stamp with a baby wipe before cleaning it with the Mist and Scrub.
Mount the flock of birds image from the High Tide Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Island Indigo Ink Pad. Stamp it on the top left corner of the Crumb Cake layer. Clean the stamp, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the flock of birds with the Whisper White Craft Ink and stamp over the top of the previously stamped birds. Clean the stamp with a baby wipe before using the Mist & Scrub.
Mount the two bunches of sea grass image from the High Tide Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Island Indigo Ink Pad. Stamp it to the right of the base of the lighthouse. Clean the stamp, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with Whisper White Craft Ink and stamp over the previously stamped grasses image. Clean the stamp with a baby wipe before cleaning with the Mist and Scrub.
Mount the small, single bunch of sea grass image from the High Tide Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Island Indigo Ink Pad. Stamp it to the left of the lighthouse. Re-ink the stamp with Island Indigo Ink and stamp it in the lower right corner of the Crumb Cake layer. Clean the stamp, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad and stamp it over the previously stamped grass bunches. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp with a baby wipe before using the Mist and Scrub.
Mount the sentiment from the Layering Love Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Island Indigo Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the Crumb Cake layer just below the light beam.
Cut a 4" piece of Island Indigo 1/4" Ombre Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon piece across the bottom of the stamped Crumb Cake layer so that the light edge of the ribbon is on top. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere them in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of cardstock. Adhere the Crumb Cake layer to the larger Soft Sky layer so about 1/4" of Soft Sky Cardstock shows on the left and top sides.
Adhere the matted layers to the card front about 3/4" up from the bottom of the Island Indigo layer.
Using a pencil, draw a small arrow pointing up in the corner of the small square of Soft Sky Cardstock.
Mount the more solid sea urchin shell image from the So Many Shells Set on Block B so that the arrow point formed into the photopolymer is pointing straight up. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Soft Sky square so that the arrows are all pointing up.
Mount the less solid sea urchin shell image from the So Many Shells Set on Block B so that the arrow in the photopolymer is pointing up. Ink it up with the Island Indigo Ink Pad. Stamp it over the previous image, making sure all the arrows are pointing up.
Cut out the sea urchin image by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere the sea urchin image to the lower left corner of the Crumb Cake layer using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Remove a tiny solid star from the Hearts & Stars Elements. Press one side into the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad. Allow the star to dry (you can speed up the drying using a Heat Tool if desired). When dry, adhere the star to the center of the sea urchin image using a Mini Glue Dot.
Cut two lengths of Island Indigo 1/4" Ombre Ribbon each 3" long. Lay the pieces on top of each other so that the lighter edges are on opposite sides. Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbons. Trim the ends. Using a Mini Glue Dot, adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the ribbon already on the card next to the sea urchin.
