C ute treat cup using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Follow the general directions for covering the Sweet Treat Cup using pieces of the tiny light blue dots on light blue background design from the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper and Coastal Cabana Cardstock for the 3-1/4" square of colored cardstock for the lid.
Additional cardstock needed is a scrap of Real Red Cardstock.
To create the main image, mount the alligator/crocodile image from the Hey Love Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 3-1/4" Whisper White square.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-3/8" diameter circle. Place the stamped white square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so the image is centered. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the stamped circle cut out on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Light Granny Apple Green Marker to color in his belly and eyelids.
Use the Dark Granny Apple Green Marker to color in the rest of the body. Make sure to leave the teeth and eyeballs white.
Use the Dark Real Red Marker to color in his hat and the heart bobbles on the hat.
Use the Dark and Light Pool Party Markers to color a puddle under his feet.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess ink.
Adhere the colored alligator circle cut out to the center of the Coastal Cabana scalloped circle cut out. Then, adhere the matted circles to the center of the Sweet Cup lid.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up two tiny heart droplets from a sheet of Heart Epoxy Droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them over the heart bobbles on the hat.
Mount the "hey, valentine" sentiment from the Hey Love Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Real Red Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut the words apart and trim the edges.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the word cut outs at slight angles on the upper right side of the alligator circle.
