P layful hello card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of small black and white plaid design from Gingham Cottage 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Real Red Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Gingham Cottage Designer Paper to the center of the Basic Black rectangle and then to the front of the Real Red card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hello Ladybug Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the crawling ladybug image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal white rectangle closer to the right edge.
Mount the crawling ladybug back image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped crawling ladybug's back.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a 1-7/16" x 2-3/4" stitched rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped ladybug rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the ladybug is centered top to bottom and is closer to the right side. Run through the machine.
Mount the tiny, spiky edged circle image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it three times in the lower left corner of the ladybug rectangle cut out as shown, stamping one time without re-inking the stamp..
Use the fine tip of the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to add center dots to the stamped flowers.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal red strip closer to the left edge.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a 1/2" x 2-1/2" stitched rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered top to bottom and closer to the left edge. You will not get the whole rectangle cut out. That's okay, just make sure the uncut edge is on the right. Run through the machine.
Cut a 3" piece of the White 3/4" Frayed Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half horizontally. Holding the folded edge on the bottom, use Paper Snips Scissors to cut at a sharp downward angle on one end of the folded ribbon. Unfold the ribbon. You should have a notch in the end of the ribbon.
Put a 2" line of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the front of the card so it runs horizontally and is about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge of the card and the left edge is about 1-1/4" from the left edge of the card.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive. Adhere the notched piece of ribbon horizontally to the Tear & Tape so the notch is on the left and is about 3/4" from the left edge of the card.
Put a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the sentiment rectangle cut out. Remove the protective backing. Adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the center of the ribbon horizontally so the left edge is about 3/8" from the notched end.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the ladybug and flowers rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the right end of the sentiment rectangle cut out and ribbon and is about 3/4" from the bottom and right edges of the card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 jewels from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a rough triangle above the ladybug rectangle cut out on the front of the card as shown.
