B right and cheery hello card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 2-7/8" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2-5/8" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
Put the Real Red rectangle into the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Real Red rectangle to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hello Ladybut Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large daisy flower image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it all over the large, vertical white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges. Change the orientation of the stamp each time.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it all over the stamped, vertical white rectangle between the stamped daisies. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges. Change the orientation of the stamp each time.
Mount the tiny, spiky edged circle image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it inside each of the daisies. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Basic Black rectangle. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Adhere the matted, stamped white rectangle to the front of the card so it is about 1/2" from the left edge of the Real Red layer. The top and bottom edges of this layer and the red layer will be even.
Mount the flying ladybug body image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left edge of the white square so the head is pointing down.
Unlock the Ladybug Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped ladybug body into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Save both pieces. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the open ladybug wings image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right edge of the previously punched white square so the tips of the wings are pointing to the left.
Holding the unlocked Ladybug Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped ladybug open wings into the punch and get them centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Mount the sets of wing dots image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink them up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp them inside the open dots on the punched out open wings image.
Adhere the open wings punch out to the ladybug body punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flying ladybug to the front of the card near the bottom left side of the matted white strip at a slight angle as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up jewels from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up small and large dots from the sheet of Matte Black Dots. Adhere them to the circles on the ladybug's wings as shown.
