2 1/2" x 2 1/2" for inside - cut 2
3" x 2" for label die cut
Gold paper -
1 3/4" x 1 1/4" for die cuts
Designer Series Paper - He's The Man:
1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ (2 pcs)
2-1/2″ x 1-1/4″ (3 pcs – portrait))
1-1/4″ x 2-5/8″ (2 pcs – landscape)
1 - 6" x 6" for pop-up
TIP: Choose 4 double-sided non-directional patterns and cut 1-1/4″ strips (2 at a time) to create panels.
Take the 6" x 6" piece of DSP and score as shown in the diagram.
Then burnish all score lines, in both directions.
Hold the paper in front of you so that you are looking at a diamond (not a square). And the horizontal scoreline is a valley fold and the verticle scoreline is a mountain fold.
Hold the far left and far right points, and start to allow the top diamond and bottom diamond to fold in towards each other, while keeping the left side and right side of the 6 x 6 paper flat. Continue pushing towards the center of the diamond, bringing the left side and right side towards each other while the top and bottom of the diamond fold together so that the points meet in the center.
Continue pressing the 6" x 6" piece until it comes together and forms a 3" x 3" square.
Use your bone folder to press the 2 folded sides of the square. You want to make sure this square lays flat.
Take the card base and open it flat. Take the 3" x 3" square and place the point (between the 2 folded sides of the square) and place it just below the center of the score line on the card base. The open part of the square should be pointing towards the bottom of the card base.
Line up the folded piece so that the left and right side points are even with the side of the card base.
Place adhesive on the top of the folded square and while holding the bottom point to keep it in place, gently fold the top of the card base over onto the square and press firmly on the top of the card front.
Flip the card base over, open the card, and repeat the same step as above, pressing firmly on the back of the card base after you close it over the adhesive.
When you open the card, it should look like this pic.
Place the 2 squares of Cajun Craze in the top and bottom quadrants of the pop-up.
Stamp your sentiment of choice on the Basic White square of card stock and place it in the bottom quadrant of the pop-up.
Place the 2nd Basic White square in the top quadrant of the pop-up.
Die cut the 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" piece of Cajun Craze, and adhere it to the center of the white square in the top quadrant.
This completes the inside of the card.
Take your DSP pieces and lay them out on the card front using the diagram.
Starting at the bottom of the card, start adhering the pieces into place, leaving about a 1/8" inch border between the pieces and the edge of the card front,
Using the 3" x 2" piece of Basic White, die-cut your label and stamp with your sentiment of choice.
Place some double-sided adhesive on the back of the label and attach the gold pennants to either side of the label. Dry fit the piece first to make sure you can fit it on the card front, and adjust the pennant pieces as necessary.
Take the linen thread and wind it around your fingers several times to make a large circle of thread. Pinch the thread in the middle and using double-sided adhesive, attach it to the back of the label.
Place dimensionals on the back of the label and attach it to the card front.
Add embellishments.
This is your finished card!
