Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- 3" x 5" from Terracotta Tile Cardstock scored at 1" on each side
- 2" x 3-1/4" of orange arches mosaic design from Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- scrap of green leaves design from Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper
Fold the Terracotta Tile Cardstock on all score lines.
Cut the 1" squares on the ends free of each other by cutting along the score lines until you hit the crossing score line.
Fold the box sides up. Fold the flaps in and secure in place with small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to make the open-top box.
Cut a 6" piece of Garden Green 3/8" Double-Stitched Ribbon.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive around the top edges of the box. Remove the protective backings and adhere the ribbon to the Tear & Tape so the top of the ribbon is even with the top edges of the box. Make sure the seam where the ends of the ribbon meet will be hidden by the punched out pumpkin in a later step.
Mount the pumpkin image from the Harvest Hellos Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on end of the strip of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper. Use a clean tissue to blot off excess ink that sits on top of the shiny areas of the designer paper.
Unlock the Apple Builder Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped pumpkin image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Hold the unlocked Apple Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the scrap of green leaves design of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper into the punch and get it centered in the punching area for the stem. Punch.
Put a Mini Glue Dot on the bottom end of the FRONT of the stem punch out. Squish the edges of the glue dot with your fingers until the glue dot is completely on the paper.
Adhere the stem to the BACK of the pumpkin punch out so just a bit of it sticks up from the top of the pumpkin.
Put a couple of strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the BOTTOM BACK of the pumpkin punch out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the pumpkin punch out to the front of the box on the left side so the left side of the pumpkin hangs over the left side of the box just a bit.
Mount the "Hey There, Pumpkin!," "Give Thanks," or "You Make Me Smile!" sentiment from the Harvest Hellos Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small piece of vanilla cardstock.
Pick out the small label die from the Merry Christmas Dies that cuts out a label that is 1-3/8" long. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the tool.
Use a small strip of Tear & Tape on the back of the sentiment cut out to adhere it to the bottom right side of the box front so it sticks over the right edge just a bit.
Cut a 3" piece of Garden Green 3/8" Double-Stitched Ribbon
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the box so it is even with the ribbon on the top of the box and overlaps the right edge of the pumpkin just a bit.
