Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, glimmer paper, and Grid Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Tranquil Tide Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-3/4" from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Tranquil Tide Cardstock
- 2 strips each 1/2" x 4" from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
- 7-1/4" square from Grid Paper
Tip: When cutting Glimmer Paper, try putting the Glimmer Paper on your Trimmer glitter side down. It is easier to cut the back side of the Glimmer Paper and will not dull your cutting blade as quickly.
Place the Night of Navy rectangle into the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add shimmer to the stars on the 1-1/2" on the right side of the cardstock and the stars on the 1/2" on the left side of the cardstock.
Carefully remove the magnets from the back of the Stamparatus and place them far apart on your work surface. Be careful NOT to get the magnets too close together or they will snap together which could pinch your fingers or cause the magnets to break. They are also very hard to pry apart if they stick to each other. Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Place the foam mat on the base of the Stamparatus since you will be using a photopolymer stamp, make sure it is pushed into the upper right corner as far as possible. Place the 7-1/4" square of Grid Paper on top of the foam mat so you have some grid lines to refer to. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side.
Pick out the "celebrate" sentiment from the Happy Celebrations Set. Place it upside down on the Stamparatus base as far into the upper right corner as it will go on both the upper and right edges. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Place the 3-3/4" x 4" piece of white cardstock on the Stamparatus base so it is as far as possible into the upper right corner with a 3-3/4" side running horizontally across the top. Secure in place with the magnets being careful NOT to get them too close together and leaving room at the top for you to stamp.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Night of Navy Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Remove the plate from the hinges and then reinsert it in the hinges one step down. Leave the cardstock in place. Readjust the position of the magnets if needed, but be careful NOT to let them touch. WITHOUT re-inking the stamp, close the plate and press down firmly.
Clean the stamp using a baby wipe. Dry the stamp thoroughly by waving the plate around, running your hand across it to make sure it is dry, or waiting patiently!
Insert the hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side so the first hinge on the plate is in the 3rd hinge position on the base. Leave the cardstock in place. Readjust the magnets if needed being careful NOT to get them to close to each other.

If desired, use the Stampin' Trimmer to trim the sides (4" long) of the stamped piece so that the very edges of the words are touching the edges of the white piece which will only be about 3-1/2" wide after you trim it down.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive down the sides (4" long) of the stamped white piece on the back.
Remove the protective backing from the strip of Tear & Tape on one side. Adhere the stamped white layer to one of the strips of Glimmer Paper so only about 1/8" of Glimmer Paper shows. Repeat with the other side and the other strip of Glimmer Paper.
Add SNAIL to the back of the stamped white/glimmer paper piece and adhere it to the left side of the dry embossed Night of Navy layer so about 1/8" of blue shows on the left side. If necessary, trim off any excess cardstock on the top and bottom edges using Paper Snips.
Put some SNAIL on the back of the Night of Navy layer and adhere it to the front of the Tranquil Tide card.
Pick out the "YOU" thinlit from the Celebrate You Thinlits. Place the Tranquil Tide rectangle on the Precision Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the "YOU" thinlit on top so it is centered. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces. Save the "YOU" cut out for use on this card. If desired, save the rectangle with the word cut out for use on another card.
Place the "YOU" cut out upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters and clamp the triangle edge of one quarter in a large binder clip. Squeeze a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the "YOU" cut out. Flip the "YOU" cut out over and adhere it to the front of the card about 3/8" up from the bottom edge of the Night of Navy layer so it overlaps the glimmer paper/stamped white layer on the right side just a bit.
Pick out the "amazing" thinlit from the Celebrate You Thinlits. Place the glimmer paper rectangle on the Precision Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the "amazing" thinlit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Use the same gluing method to adhere the "amazing" cut out to the front of the card so the loop of the "g" at the end barely overlaps the top of the "y" in "YOU" and the strip of glimmer paper on the right side of the stamped white layer.
Cut a 4" piece of Night of Navy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot at a slight angle to the bottom of the "Y" in "YOU."
