Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2-1/8" x 5-1/8" from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/8" of pink and red roses on white background design from Best Dressed 6"x6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 6" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
Adhere the strip of Best Dressed Designer Paper to the bottom of the Petal Pink rectangle so about 1/8" of pink shows on the left, bottom, and right edges.
Cut a 6" piece of Petal Pink 5/8" Striped Ribbon.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the ribbon across the bottom of the Lovely Lipstick rectangle so the bottom of the ribbon and bottom of the cardstock are even.
Mount the "celebrate" sentiment from the Happy Birthday To You Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it just above the ribbon on the right side of the Lovely Lipstick rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the right edge.
Pick out the leafy filigree die from the Delicate Lace Dies. Put it on top of the 1-1/2" x 6" Old Olive strip on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the leafy filigree lace cut out to the back of the stamped Lovely Lipstick rectangle so only the leafy parts show along the bottom of the Lovely Lipstick rectangle.
Adhere the Lovely Lipstick/Old Olive lace rectangle to the Petal Pink/designer paper rectangle so about 1/8" of pink shows on the left, top, and right edges.
Lay the ribbon across the matted rectangle so it is just below the stamped sentiment and is even with the bottom of the Lovely Lipstick rectangle. Secure in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Petal Pink rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Lovely Lipstick card.
Rub the Embossing Buddy all over the white square.
Mount the cake with flowers image from the Happy Birthday To You Set on Block E. Ink up the flowers on the top of the cake with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp on the white square so you get the flowers.
Place the stamped white square in the center of a piece of Grid Paper. Sprinkle on White Stampin’ Emboss Powder so it covers the entire image. Tap off excess powder. Return extra powder to the container.
Heat with the Heat Tool until the powder is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Pick out the flowers die from the Birthday Dies. Put it on top of the heat embossed flowers image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the designer paper that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the heat embossed flowers cut out on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Dark and Light Lovely Lipstick Markers and the Dark Petal Pink Marker to color in the flowers.
Use the Dark and Light Old Olive Markers to color in the leaves and brackets on the berries.
Use the Dark Lovely Lipstick Marker to color in the berries.
Pick out the set of two leaf twigs die from the Birthday Dies. Put it on top of one of the 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" Old Olive rectangles on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the other 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" piece of Old Olive so you have 4 leaf twigs.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere 3 leaf twigs to the back of the colored, heat embossed flowers cut out so the leaves poke out a bit.
Tip: Keep the fourth leaf twig for use on another project or to decorate the inside of the card.
Add additional Stampin' Dimensionals as needed to the back of the colored, heat embossed flowers cut out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the flowers cut out with leaf twigs attached to the front of the card just to the left of the sentiment so it overlaps the ribbon.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 diamond shaped gems from a sheet of Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the upper right corner of the card front one below the other.
