Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and glimmer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" of tiny candy canes on white background design from Snowy Scenes 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5" from Real Red Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" of Cherry Cobbler glimmer paper from Festive Glimmer Paper
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the strip of candy canes Snowy Scenes Designer Paper to the right side of the vertical Real Red card front so about 1/8" of red shows on the top, right, and bottom edges.
Open the Real Red Ink Pad. Rub the ink pad all over the inside front flap (the flap with the logo and line printed on it) of the So Swirly Embossing Folder.
Insert the 2" x 5-1/4" white rectangle into the inky So Swirly Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Tip: Be careful, this embossing folder is very large and barely fits through the machine. Make sure none of the folder is hanging over the edge of the platform or it will get caught and will mess up the folder and/or your machine.
Tip: Just clean the embossing folder when you are done by running it under water until all the ink comes off. Allow to air dry.
Pick out the postage stamp die from the Perennial Postages Dies that cuts out a rectangular postage stamp that is 3-1/4" x 4-1/2". Put it on top of the Real Red strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you will cut out one long edge. Run through the machine.
Adhere the postage stamp edge strip to the back of the dry embossed and inked white rectangle so about 3/8" of the postage stamp edge sticks out along the center of the right side.
Adhere the dry embossed and inked strip with postage stamp strip attached to the front of the card so it overlaps the left edge of the designer paper and about 1/8" of red shows on the top, left, and bottom edges.
Pick out the postage stamp die from the Perennial Postages Dies that cuts out a rectangular postage stamp that is 1-1/2" x 2-3/8". Put it on top of the Cherry Cobbler glimmer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Greetings Of The Season Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the script "merry" sentiment from the Greetings Of The Season Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining, small white rectangle.
Pick out the postage stamp die from the Perennial Postages Dies that cuts out a rectangular postage stamp that is 1-1/8" x 2". Put it on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Put some adhesive on the back of the sentiment postage stamp cut out.
Wrap the end of the Real Red & White Baker's Twine around your fingers a few times. Cut it loose from the spool.
Add loops of the twine to the back of the sentiment postage stamp cut out.
Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment postage stamp cut out with twine attached. Remove the protective backings and adhere the sentiment postage stamp cut out to the center of the glimmer paper postage stamp cut out.
Adhere the layered postage stamp cut outs to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small and 1 medium peppermints from a sheet of Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them around the sentiment as shown.
