T
his card is a Faux Step card, so very easy to make. The Kindest Gnomes make this a very cute card.
(I felt like the envelope and card back needed something, so I hand cut a mushroom from left over red rubber and stamped it. I then used my Stampin' Blends to add dimension to the the little mushroom.)
Project Recipe
Cut Bermuda Bay card base to 9 x 4-1/4, score at 3-1/4,6-1/2, and 7-3/4. Fold the smallest area, (front) in a mountain fold, the next will be a valley fold, then mountain again on the largest area.
Cut DSP to 4 x 3 and 4 x1. Adhere the larger piece to the middle portion of the card base.
Cut Soft Suede piece to 8-1/2 x 2-1/2 and score at 3". Fold and burnish.
Cut Basic White piece to 2-1/4 x 4-1/4, 4 x 3, and a scrap about 1/2 x 3". Run the largest piece through the Cut and emboss machine with the embossing folder.
Die cut the desired Gnomes from the DSP, and the 1/2 mushroom house from the end of the DSP. Adhere the mushroom house to the embossed piece right at the edge.
Fold the card base with the smallest piece to the front, and adhere the Soft Suede piece to the middle of the small front "step". Turn the card base over, and adhere the back of the Soft Suede piece to the card back. Add the White embossed piece to the middle portion of the front of the Soft Suede piece with liquid glue, leaving equal borders on the top and both sides. The bottom should line up with the front step. Add the DSP to the front step and the Gnome onto the embossed piece.
Stamp your greeting on the small Basic White piece, and die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies. Pop up on dimensionals, and adhere to the front step. Add the remaining Basic White piece to the back of the card, leaving equal borders on all four sides, covering the Soft Suede joint.
Stamp your envelope as desired.
