T rimming the Town is a great holiday paper pack, but you can also use the papers for non-holiday cards.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Misty Moonlight 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
With paper in Horizontal orientation, score 2 ⅛ from each end. Fold these ends in to make a gatefold card front.
Card Front: Cut two striped paper pieces from Trimming the Town paper pack 2 X 5 ¼. Attach these pieces to each side of the front of the gate fold.
I used rectangle stitched dies for sentiment on the card front. I used the die that measures 1 ¾ X 3 ⅛ to cut the white piece. Stamp sentiment on this white piece. I added 3 Misty Moonlight enamel dots after stamping
For the mat, I used a stitched rectangle that measures 2 ⅛ X 3 ½. I used Real Red, Old Olive, and Bumblebee to make my mats. Attach mat to stamped white rectangle.
Attach matted rectangles to the left side of gate fold.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
