Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Mount the grouping of 3 dandelions image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp the image on the left side of the horizontal, large, white rectangle so the bottom of the image is just off the bottom edge of the cardstock and the left edge of the image just goes off the left edge of the cardstock. Re-ink the stamp with the Memento Pad and stamp it again just to the right and slightly lower than the first image. Re-ink the stamp again with the Memento Pad and stamp it again just to the right and slightly lower than the second image. The right side of the image should go off the right edge of the cardstock just a bit.
Mount the single, more solid dandelion flower head image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block B . Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it over the tops of the open dandelion flowers you just stamped on the white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. You can stamp multiple times over each flower if you want to make them darker and make sure they are completely filled in. Leave the stamp on the block.
Mount the dotted flight path image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it just above the right, large, open dandelion so the loop is pointing up.
Put the stamped white cardstock on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the remaining, partially open dandelion flowers.
Use the Dark and Light Mossy Meadow and Dark and Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color in the stems and leaves.
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Balmy Blue Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush all over the stamped and colored white cardstock. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Keep the Blending Brush out for now.
Adhere the stamped, colored, and blended white cardstock to the large Mossy Meadow rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of the Daffodil Delight 1/4" Ruched Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted white cardstock so it is about 1" from the bottom. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the green rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Unlock the 1-1/2" Circle Punch. Slide the small Mossy Meadow rectangle into the punch. Punch.
Mount the "wishing you all the best" sentiment from the Garden Wishes Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Label Me Fancy Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Save both pieces of cardstock.
Rub the Blending Brush across the open Balmy Blue Ink Pad again to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush all over the sentiment punch out. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Leave the Blending Brush out for now.
Adhere the sentiment punch out to the center of the Mossy Meadow circle punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon on the left side.
Mount the small bee image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Saddle Brown StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining piece of white cardstock.
Re-ink the single, more solid dandelion flower head image on Block B with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it over the body of the stamped bee image.
Rub the Blending Brush across the open Balmy Blue Ink Pad again to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush across the wings of the stamped bee image. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Pick out the small bee die from the Dandy Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped and blended bee image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the bee cut out to the front of the card at the right end of the stamped, dotted flight path image.
Pick out the three single flower burst dies and the long, skinny dandelion flower stalk die from the Dandy Wishes Dies. Put them on top of the Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight rectangles on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the colors will alternate in size with the long, skinny dandelion flower stalk being cut from Crushed Curry and you will get the flower and just a bit of the stalk. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Trim the stalk from the large flower burst cut out using Paper Snips.
Adhere the flower bursts together using Mini Glue Dots so the petals are off set from each other and they alternate in color. Lightly ruffle the petals with your finger so some stick up more than others.
Adhere the layered flower burst cut outs over the top of the partially open dandelion image between the two fully open dandelion images on the left side of the card front as shown.
Cut a 3" piece of the Daffodil Delight 1/4" Ruched Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon piece under the ribbon already on the card on the right side of the sentiment label punch out and tie in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large, frosted droplet from a sheet of Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the layered flower burst flower.
