Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mossy Meadow Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of tiny white dandelions on yellow background design from Dandy Garden 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 4" from Whisper White or Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" of yellow and white stripes design from Dandy Garden 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock or Basic White Cardstock
- 1" square from Whisper White Cardstock or Basic White Cardstock
Fold the card on the score lines so the 2-1/2" score line is a mountain fold and the 5-1/2" score line is a valley fold.
Adhere the 2-1/4" x 4" white rectangle to the bottom of the large, yellow with dandelions Dandy Garden Designer Paper rectangle so it is about 1/8" from the bottom edge.
Adhere the designer paper with white rectangle attached to the inside of the large back flap of the card.
Adhere the piece of striped Dandy Garden Designer Paper to the top of the 2-3/4" end flap of the card.
Mount the single, large dandelion on a stem with two leaves image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the smooth oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies that cuts out a smooth oval that is 2-1/8" x 3-1/8". Put it on top of the stamped dandelion on stem with two leaves image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the dandelion seed puff is near the top and the image is centered side to side. You will cut off a little bit of the stem and the bottoms of the leaves. Run through the tool.
Put the dandelion oval cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends to color in the stem and leaves of the dandelion.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends if needed to remove excess color.
Mount the single, more solid dandelion flower image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Bumblebee Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the dandelion seed puff on the oval cut out. WITHOUT RE-INKING, shift the image over slightly and stamp again. Keep inking up the image with the Bumblebee Ink Pad and stamping off on Grid Paper before stamping over the dandelion seed puff image until the entire seed puff image is yellow.
Pick out the scalloped oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 2-1/2" x 3-1/2". Put it on top of the Mossy Meadow rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the tool.
Adhere the stamped and colored dandelion oval cut out to the center of the Mossy Meadow scalloped oval cut out.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the Mossy Meadow scalloped oval cut out to about 1-1/4" from the bottom. Do NOT go past the 1-1/4" from the bottom mark with the adhesive.
Remove the protective strips from the Tear & Tape and adhere the matted dandelion oval cut outs to the top of the front flap of the card with the striped designer paper attached. Make sure none of the adhesive goes past the fold or the card won't open.
Mount the small bee image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the matching, small bee die from the Dandy Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bee image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Use the Bumblebee Marker to color in the body of the bee cut out.
Use the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush to add some shimmer to the bee's wings.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored and shimmered bee cut out to the front of the card so it is overlaps the bottom right side of the dandelion seed puff a bit.
Pick out a bug from the Ladybug Trinkets. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ladybug in place to the top of the left leaf at the bottom of the dandelion.
Cut a 22" piece of the Mossy Meadow 3/16" Braided Linen Trim.
Wrap the linen trim around the front flap of the card with the striped designer paper and tie it in place using a bow just under the dandelion stem and leaves. Trim the ends.
